it doesn't strike you as stranger that he eats real (living) food?

He's a super advanced war machine prototype, Maxwell took him before he was finished. As a result WX only has his bio-conversion matrix to make him run, and all his weapons systems are offline so he has to rely on his COMANDO-drive. (Creative Offence Matrix And Neural Defense Os)

Well, gears aren't robots. so it's not weird. It would only be weird if he was the vegan version of a robot.

I think that's a bit of DS's morbid dark humor poking through, WX just sticks gears in random places hoping they activate his untapped abilities.

An idea a friend of mine threw to me is that instead of Abigail showing up on random nights instead the following:Each night Wendy has a chance to get a token or item that allows her to summon her dead sister Abigail, they may only be used at dusk/night and there is a limit to how many ever spawn (perhaps each token you have reduces the chance of gaining another one)so at the end of day 1 you have a 60% chance of a token, you get it, with one token you have a 40% chance of gaining another.it would mean Abigail couldn't be out all the time unlace you were very lucky (which can happen now I believe) but it also means that in a tight pinch you'll know for certain if Abigail will help and can plan properly.

For Wendy's ability I think that being able to use nightmare fuel to summon her sister is reasonable. Another idea is when her sanity is low there is a higher chance for her sister to spawn, whether it's day/dusk/night. Whatever is decided upon, her ability's unpredictable nature is a big turn-off to most players when they have characters like Wilson and Wickerbottom as alternatives. Somehow she should be able to spawn Abigail whenever she wants, but there needs to be a cooldown so it can't be abused.

Abigail is going to be summonable. I'm still working out the details, but I think it will be tied to an item. I think that you'll have her flower hairpiece as an inventory item. You can put it on the ground and then kill something near it to spawn Abigail when you want to. When she is destroyed, she'll drop the hairpiece again. Then you'll have to wait for a cooldown period to expire before you can summon her again. This, combined with some abigail behaviour tweaks, will make Wendy pretty unique, I think.Mostly, I just looking forward to having an "Haunted hairpiece" as an item in the game. Spooooooky!

Maxwell is already pretty balance, I think, but I was thinking about giving the merms an affinity for him. So like, if find a merm village, you get some free (or cheap?) followers. In the lore, the merms are a failed creation by Maxwell. So I could imagine them looking up to him as a father figure, and him being kinda embarrassed and grossed out by them. Gotta think about that one a little more though.

Oh, right! Yeah, now I remember. They're presented as "deep ones". What the heck am I thinking of? There was something that Maxwell calls his "failed experiment", isn't there?

He's says the Tallbirds are a failed creation, from his examine line on them. :)

I'm thinking the Wickerbottom might gain a unique crafting tab, where she can bind books out of papyrus. These books will act kind of like consumable magic spells. Still thinking about that one, though.

This gets a rare MycoLogical "Thumbs-Up" TM!I'd love to see her have magic powers!

Hmmm. Tallbirds are already friendable. Maybe I'll just make the merms like him because he was the first person that they saw. Meh. It'll be a couple of days until I get there and have to make those decisions.

Tallbirds are friendable?! Since when?! :oOr do you mean the Smallbirds?
