So, my first take after about 50 cycles:

  1. Generally works as is, experienced players should not run into severe problems.
  2. No crashes or other bugs so far.
  3. Some buildings do not work yet, as per patch-notes.
  4. New Dupe!
  5. There is an early-game farmable food that does not rot (Pikeapple). As it is really low quality (-1), I think this is fine. If you upgrade it via the grill, it starts to rot.
  6. Base-planning is different now because tiles can melt and temperature becomes critical. I think it works as an alternate game mode for early and mid-game.
End-game will probably not be so different from before.
  7. Some form of ranching will probably be required.
  8. Mercury (liquid at room temperature) is interesting. Not sure what to do with it. It has really low SHC. Maybe liquid locks for higher temperatures?
  9. Lava-biome got a major overhaul. I like that. As it was before I often rolled "frozen core" because magma was just not very useful but quite time-consuming to remove.
  10. I have started to play "no meteor" because they were not very useful. That might have changed now. Not sure though.

Right now it allows to add new biomes into non-DLC2 worlds. Like usual Terra, but with 2-3 new biomes. I hope later it will be more options...

Interesting.  Do they replace any of the default biomes, or just jam them in wherever?

After Testing i feel a little sad. We still miss a suit where we can go into lava with.

Though the Toasty and Chilling Surroundings in Suits are gone i hoped for something for working in lava which might apply a large speed penalty to it and needs high end ressources. Maybe it can be done? I mean the game is futuristic so it should be dooable.

The meteors are the only way to get new bonguard seeds aside from care packages and seed duping. They're also really cool when they fall

Any source of renewable snow for the bonbon gourd (aside from space mining)? Or is it one of those things that you are meant to use in any significant capacity only in early game?

the Gourd Tree is used for nectar mainly but the wood from it is kinda just an added bonus, surprisingly you can pip plant them in the cold as long as it doesnt go below -30c but then again critters dont die right away but take dmg then die(if im reading patch notes right) when hit to 0 so there is some time to pip plant I guess.

DLC mixing
We're introducing the ability to remix this DLC content into other asteroids when you start a new game. These settings can be customized in the "Scramble DLCs" tab in the destination selection screen.

Okay okay i admit this sounds promising.

Instead being it's separate thing only you can inject the DLC content onto other asteroids.

Hmm and it adds the new critters too right?
