Best QoL changes in dst history ?

Recommended Posts

I forget what QoL update it was, but whichever allowed repeated actions by holding the mouse. No more spam clicking for cooking, crafting, eating, etc. Just being able to click and hold is something that I use more often than any other QoL change I can think of

best qol update for me is the cobblestone change. Back then people had to farm thousands of trees and rocky turfs to make cobblestone paths for their world. And when u crafted a turf, all you would get is 1 instead of the 4 we get now. It was a torturous process. Now all you need is rock and flint and you can make 4 at a time

I agree with Pause button. That was the one and only mod I deemed a requirement so I don't need to close the world and then wait another 3 minutes for it to load after every bathroom break.

2nd for me is Year of the Beefalo introducing the beefalo bells. They are SO much more manageable now.

Edit: And for Wortox specifically, that 'warp far away with extra souls' thing was a godsend. Just amazing, and has me wanting to play him a lot more, even solo.

That sucked so much, and it's still a thing in singleplayer. The fact that it took an entire stack of wood to get 5 turfs was nuts.

Gotta agree on the Wortox changes, they were legit gamechanging. Also gotta mention the crafting directly from chests, and automatically crafting the materials needed for crafting something if you click the item you wanna craft.

I do hope these minor things come to vanilla eventually, and not the major things like the craft UI (I still hate it, bite me)

My favorite QoL (not counting the already mentioned pause button..) was the one that centered entirely around letting us toggle more/less of different parts of the game. This gave me a lot more freedom to make my play sessions as easy or as hard as I felt like playing them at the time.

Deforestation before the turf changes was something xd

oh, if beefalo bells count, then I agree completely. it made beefalo taming so much better.
