putthabuth Posted March 12, 2022 Share Posted March 12, 2022 I don't like to kill I love to grow crop and eat veggies and fruits I also love cooking too and now im interesting to made some Ice Cream but it require Milk and it only got from killing Volt Goat... im curious... can we add some new system such as taming Volt Goat for collect Milk with out need to kill it ? and if we can do that... can we add some more food recipe such as Berries Syrup or Fruit Syrup for replace Honey as sweetenes ingredient ? i don't want to kill Spider for Web for made a Bee Box for Honey too... And have all of the characters as NPCs and the town we live in is called constant country. Where you can raise spiders to produce silk, like a silkworm farm. Raise beefalo for milk fur and horn. Raise volt goat for milk fur and horn. Keep the bee happy, and get lots of honey. Make friends with other characters. Cook food and buy or make your ingredients. Grow crops and helpful weeds and kill the dangerous ones. Travel to other places on bus, plane, boat, or train. Craft items and help the museum out. That sounds very fun. But as for the actual answer, there is a mod that lets you milk volt goat and beefalo. I think it's an okay idea but you still need to make them overchange and put them to sleep for milking to work. You can make ice cream only if something dies. You can kill eye of ball instead, or farm butterflies for butter with catcoons. SinancoTheBest Posted March 12, 2022 Share Posted March 12, 2022 Well there are currently three Dairy class items that can be used to make Ice Cream and Milkmade Hat, all of which require murder in some way. Electric Milk is a guaranteed drop from charged volt goats. They can be charged at will with the use of electric weaponry like morning star or electric dart and then be killed for their milk. Don't forget to use insulative clothing like rain hat in order not to be zapped in the process. Milky Whites are guaranteed drops of the boss Eye of Terror. You are guaranteed to get 3-5 milky fights upon defeating the fiend and the boss fight can be repeated after 15 days. Terrarium item is used to spawn the boss at any night and it's quite a fun and manageable fight. Note that the corrupted form of this boss, Twins of Terror won't drop any milky whites, deeming them exclusive to the inferior fight, just as Mushcap blueprint is exclusive to the inferior version of toadstool. Butter can be used in place of the previous two items in making Ice Cream or Milkmade Hat, as well as having its exclusive recipes of Lobster Dinner, Waffles and the Warly exclusive Fresh Fruit Crepes. I'd personally prefer to make Lobster Dinner over Ice Cream anyday when I have butter as it gives 50 sanity as well as 60 HP and lasts 15 days but the choice is there. It has a 2% chance of replacing the butterfly wings drop from any killed butterfly. If you find killing them individulaly inhumane, you can catch butterflies with a bugnet and exterminate them all at the same time mercifuly in a halal way. Beyond these, if you're looking for a more ethical alternative to ice cream, you can consider Jelly Salad that has very similar stats to Ice Cream restoring 50 Sanity that only uses 2 leafy meat and 2 honey. Similarly, Soothing tea restores 45 sanity gradually and can easily be made by replacing dairy in the ice cream recipe with a forget-me-lots flower. Vegan alternatives to Ice Cream in regards to restoring a hefty amount of sanity include Vegetable Stingers, Salsa Fresca, Creamy Potato Puree and Banana pops. If you enjoy a farming playstyle, you really should learn the former 3 recipes anyway to make good use of your Tomatoes, Asparagii and Garlic anyway. Well except antlion I guess but from what I've seen people prefer dodging his sinkholes and rolling back a lot over appeasing or killing him. Juny Pear Posted March 13, 2022 Share Posted March 13, 2022 Honestly, I'd actually kinda like if we had some ways of somehow keeping a form of lifestock for things like milk. Something like keeping beefalo and being able to milk them every day for feeding them. Could also give more of a use to the pudgy beefalos as well, since most people tend to go for riders or ornerys. Maybe something like being able to get more milk per harvest out of them. I think this'd give pudgys a nice niche to be in.
