Any tips on how to manage weeds?

I've been struggling with the reap what you sow update because of the weeds, specifically the fire nettle. Do any of you folk have tips on how to deal with them.

Best to learn it with gardener hat and just dig it up the moment you see it. If they're grown, I don't know any meta, I just dig up and deal with heat after :/

Use the gardeneer hat to research every stage of every plant. Then you'll be able to recognize the weeds when they're still too small to do any damage, and you can dig them up with the shovel. Then, once you get enough seeds of the crops that you want to grow, you can just fill your plots up with those, and the weeds will have no room to grow. And you won't be using random seeds, so they'll have no chance to turn into weeds.

Might not be a bad idea to have an ice box with a thermal stone inside near the farms in-case you don't catch the fire nettle in time.

I just keep torches and a fire staff near my farms at all times, for most weeds I use the torch, for fire nettles I use the fire staff if they've fully grown by the time I notice them.

Like others have said, getting them taken care of early is best, but if you do get a fully grown fire nettle. Throw a water balloon at it, or wait for a good long rain and then dig it up. They cannot sting you if soaked.

Drop something like a twig near fire nettle, ignite it with torch and fire will spread and destroy nettles. No need for fire staff.
