stgo
How Am I suppose to get orbital research point ? The virtual planetarium produces them but already requires orbital research points ... And the Orbital microlab is a bit too big to be in a solo spacefarer (at least if I need to supply power, food and oxygen) Burgeoning Moonbase.sav The only way I see is to too back and forth with the rocket without access to food (removing the ladder on the right) till I have 5 points
suicide commando
You don't need a hamster wheel for power in rockets anymore, you can just plonk a battery module in the rocket, then put a socket in the rocket which will supply power. That will save you 3 tiles.
Steve8
You don't necessarily need the fridge or the storage bin. They can be deconstructed and the food dropped on the ground
stgo
Ok wen with plastic on the ground and no food. This did it
Kerrin29
Am I being thick, I can't figure out how to get points. I had a rocket with a Orbital microlab, I went into space, l flew a few tiles, and came back, and got nothing.

You need a dupe with the research skill to operate it on board as well as a bit of plastic.
SharraShimada
First step: solo cone, with just the essentials to research the bigger module. After that, its easy to get the rest.
Kerrin29
Ah, plastic! Of course it needs a resource. Thanks.

IMHO 1 oil geyser should be in the first map + 1 sugar/co2 rocket pre-installed and ready to go for everyone @sakura_sk I made it ! I made it ! Took only 50 hours in this save and 300 hours or so of total DLC time...I launched a rocket ! Dont know what happens now, will my pilot die

Hamster-wheel, research station, battery and container for the plastic do fit nicely into a small nosecone though. If you have a fast researcher, you do not even need to have the dupe pee themselves. I believe the ones that don't require oxidizer produce no power, so you don't get any free power from using CO2, Steam or Radbolt engines. A sugar engine would produce, though. (EDIT: the Steam engine does produce power, my bad) Engines usually do say how much power they generate (only after building):

It`s needed for research with the rockets that don`t produce power. I think only 2 engnes produce 0: CO2 and radbolt.
