I press 'PLAY' through the steam interface, the game opens and I get a quick flash of the image I attached and then it closes. Some things to try: Right-click ONI -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse local files .... go into the OxygenNotIncluded_Data folder and delete StreamingAssets, then Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files Uninstall and reinstall the game through steam Browse to the local files as above, uninstall the game, after uninstall finishes delete any files that are left over in the SteamApps/common/OxygenNotIncluded folder, and then reinstall. Please be careful when deleting files on your hard drive, and let us know if any of these solutions fixes the problem for you! Disabling the DLC (with auto reloading files) and enabling it solve the problem. Tell me, will it be possible to disable and enable DLC without reloading the game files? It is very weird. After deleting the "streaming assets" folder I could launch the game again but when i click on the "activate DLC button" : then it start downloading but in fact it doesn't download anything (last like 2 sec). The game launch but the dlc is never activated: UPDATE: After a full uninstall / reinstall i don't have anymore access to the "Activate DLC button". Game can launch, but still crashes on doing anything of: click [new game] -> [survival / no sweet] click [load game] Edit "Spaced out" popup did show on launch. DLC tab didn't show up in properties page. Edit Realized I didn't buy the DLC yet. So the it's original game that crashed. Tom Sawyer Posted December 9, 2020 Share Posted December 9, 2020 @DreamApart I did what Ipsquiggle suggested and by deleting the local Steaming Assets file it forced the game to update and I was able to load my old saves prior the to the DLC. I will eventually end up buying the DLC but waiting for it to get some more polish. I was having issues with the game crashing after loading a colony in Vanilla/base game, apparently dlc files are getting stuck. This problem first happened when I first booted up the alpha, then I couldn't play the base game, so this would make sense to be the culprit. I'll try it, I hope this works. Never had any issues with vanilla downloaded DLC run game through steam (as admin and not as admin), or desktop, and game won't launch. Won't even get to loading or home screen Shows up in task manager as a running process - but can't be forced to close remains visible as "game already running" in steam when I try to open it again I tried verify game files, and other steps suggested by Ipsquiggle but without any success If I delete the game then reinstall it I can open it and get to the main screen - with DLC button unticked when I tick the DLC button (bottom left corner) it shows as downloading, then game crashes. Essentially whenever the DLC tries to load or run the game won't launch. It shows up in task manager but cannot be closed or interacted with. I love this game and feel like I would love this DLC.
