Is anyone else happy that it was Wes who accidently got caught by the shadow-trap and not this guy who sold Maxwell the magician stage equipments? I mean we got one of the kindest characters (Wes and Wolfgang are so kind and DST artwork / animations wouldn't be the same without them ) when if he hadn't accidently "replaced" the victim, we would have got some random salesman who may seem like a kind father in the Wes animation video, but he also wrote that mean letter to Maxwell to remind him of the payment. I seriously couldn't stand him if he had ended up a playable character. (and this although I am usually in favour of negative personality traits.)

I am writing this because I just read yesterday in the wiki that the man who would have been drawn into Maxwell's world instead of Wes is the same guy who's threatening letter was seen in the William Carter puzzle.

I would have loved to see Maxwell's reaction when finding out he got a random mime instead of his original target.

Does catching on fire harm the Armored Bearger ? I can't believe how tough this thing is. I got it to aggro the Bee Queen and he just tore right thru her like nothing.

Some items with upgraded variants, like Wigs Weapons, and Fir/Ice Staffs get skins for the base version.

Does this apply to the Fantasmical craftsmerm house?

I'll be doing a run with Wurt soon, and I like the skin, but I don't think it's worth weaving if not, as we'll be mainly using merm Flortifications.

It does not because merm flortifications isn't a upgrade to craftsmerm houses but a spawner for a different type of merm. This is even more highlighted as of her skill tree because now they directly accel in different fields for example only normal merms can use tools which allow digging and tilling alongside faster work speeds while only merm guards can use swamp brawler helmets.(outside of special circumstances)

I just saw this guy at Klei's shop. (here) And seriously how dare there be a Wilson plüschi but it doesn't have his magnificent fluffy beard (also head hair looks not fluffy enough)? No fluff-plüschi no motivation to get him. (although I'd like to have a tiny soft Wilson to squeeze and since I read they are able to hold hands it would be cute to have more survivors plüschis. What a missed opportunity for a GREAT toy set. I don't know if Wilson would like to hold hands with the other Klei Game plüschis (that exist) rather then with fellow DST plüschis...if they EXISTED.)

I just realized I could instead of being disappointed by official plüschi create my own needle felt plüschi of Wilson and other characters maybe Maxwell but I currently don't have time to start a new crafting project.

Different question: Since I am playing around with my attempted mod all the time, I keep getting those weird skin gifts (little box opened by shadow hand) regularly. Does anyone know what to do with this stuff? I have no need for the cosmetic skin clothes and mime pickaxes and so on. If there is a way to hand them to someone else so they can exchange them into those spool thingies I wouldn't mind giving all my received "gifts" to someone to upcycle them. (I have no need for spool thingies either).

It's true the other Klei Game plüschis do indeed look amazing (which is why Wilsonplüschi looks so underwhelming in comparison to me. Not plüschi fluffy enough, though I am not sure if he would still fit the style of the plüschis if his hair was fluffier and he had a fluffy magnificant beard.) Hmmm...ok maybe if they add more don't starve character plüschis to the collection it is not a missed opportunity. After all Wilson is WILSON and therefore has to be done first, all the time. Only Wilson being an existing DS character in the plüschi collection really doesn't necessarily mean he's going to stay the only DS one. I forgot about that (thanks for reminding me!)

I am currently super busy with a sheep project at work, but if I somehow happen to finish this earlier them expected I will probably see if I can use some of my free time at work to take my needle felt supplies with me and work on a tiny Wilson prototype. But so far this probably won't be happening anytime soon. Still I appreciate the motivation to create a tiny (very non-detailed) fluffy Wilson for myself. x3 My camera currently doesn't like me but if I make a Wilson I will probably take a small photo of him nevertheless. (maybe since Wilson plüschi is in far future this problem may be fixed until then so I won't think twice about even attempting to take a photo)

I have no need for any skin item (unless maybe if he becomes avaible to be made by spools then a potential future moldy backpack skin.) I don't think I would be interesting in selling skins. But so there is no way to just hand them out to random people as free gifts so they can turn them into spools? Ah well...probably that would be too easy for some steam users to collect spools for more rare items then. Suppose I will collect spools just in case we get that stinky backpack that my modded Maxwell will refuse to touch

What kind of horrible name is this poor guy cursed with?! And is this supposed to be some misspelled pun?  (I would get if his name was "Wiener" as in the sausage. And then when it rains he automatically becomes a "Wet Wiener" of course) But Weiner...I have never heard a name like this.

 

 RIP I am living in Germany and just found out Weiner is a German last name. So this pig is more cultivated than expected, considering he calls himself by his last name. I'm sorry Mr. Weiner for accusing you of being a misspelled sausage.

Hey guys… when is the 10 year anniversary of Dont Starve Together?

Will it be in 2025 (since DST released on PC in 2015) or will it be 2026? (Since DST released outside of beta onto other consoles)

And do you guys think we will get a MASSIVE DST update like Klei did with Solo DS and it’s Two DLCs for its 10 year anniversary?

I'd find it more adorable (literally) if the aniversity was chained to the appearance on the Chrome web store (Or else I wouldn't even know this game if my friend hadn't showed me! sorry personal nostalgia :') ).

And who knows maybe an update like this is in work. ..but then I kind of feel like the focus seems to be so much on the skilltrees lately and on the moon shadow thing. :/ I don't have any high hopes for any impactful update

Why does this graphic [from the forums banners] make it look like Charlie AND Maxwell would reign the constant as nightmare king and shadow queen? [You can only imagine what I would give to have a spin-off gameplay mode that was a hybrid of DS adventure mode and DST but with Maxwell and Charlie being antagonist NPCs] [I would love to go on a challenging quest as Wilson again if it means to meet Maxwell AND Charlie as NPCs. Also it would make shadow queen Charlie more interesting to me (and yes I know there already is this part of when you meet her in NPC form when she fixes the portal, but still give Charlie some REAL appearances in the game like Maxwell got in the adventure mode would be awesome, especially if it was in an alternative gameplay mode where she and Maxwell would reign together [or Maxwell being part of the queen's court, not necessary the king by her side but some other role]. )

All DST survivors are a team, and one Maxwell [but not NPC] would have to use magic to lay traps / spawn enemies for the survivor team [he may have to get "instructions" from NPC Charlie to get the appropiate items needed, so that would his part of the gameplay challenge] while the survivors would need to find "things" like metal portato, wooden thing, ring thing and so on [maybe Charlie versions of those] while trying not to die. The game would end when either a) the survivors managed to build the teleportato and escape into a fresh world. OR b) Maxwell managed to kill all survivors.

[And yes this is heavily inspired by the  Evil Dead: the game because it is one of the few multiplayer games I actually play as multiplayer]

Did anyone else notice those small occasions when a character falls to the ground in animated shorts and a "surprised scream" noise in the character's "voice" is played?

[I noticed it for Maxwell in the encore short and for Wilson in the Hamlet announcement trailer. Those small "voice"-acting lines are so precious to me, I wish the characters would "say" such short "phrases" on more occasions in the videos. Of course only for tiny bits so they don't take over. But in my opinion those add so much immersion to the animation videos, giving me even more reason to rewatch them again and again.]

My theory: This was originally an illustration by Jeff Agala for the 10th anniversary, and it actually represents the DS single-player version and DST.

Why does the Xbox versions of DST have the Option to select server types at all- if to this very day Dedicated & Klei Official servers are still not available on Xbox Platforms?

Klei you may as well add options to select Gorge, Forge, Shipwrecked & Hamlet worlds- but them never actually being available.

Sorry I know this is probably the silliest question ever, but why do people in this forum sometimes talk like pigmen?

[That is mainly for questions like for example I often see "Where is base?" or "(Something) when?" etc.]

I'm just trying to understand whether is this some inside joke connected to the game or has some other origin that I am not familiar with. [I'm especially confused because I also noticed this in German speaking internet-communities unrelated to Don't Starve so I wonder if it is a specific game-culture thingie here or a general internet-culture thing that I have missed from not being much involved in modern internet social stuff.]
