One block of sleep and a couple bath time blocks and they're covered, though that's how I schedule everyone since they'll sleep through bath time if they need it and work if they don't. Loud sleeper litterally does nothing, even on the same schedule as other dupes, they just need 2 cots of space between other people on their schedule. Most drawbacks costs time in specific jobs or areas, but narcoleptics will cost you time regardless of planning. 2 blocks of sleep is enough with cots, and with 3 blocks of downtime before, I have never seen a dupe not get to bed on schedule. If this happens I have no idea what is going on as even athletics 0 dupes will get from the surface to the miscalculated pod position just above the oil biome, Eat, ****, socialize and even dance if needed before going to bed on schedule. Granted I only have 500 hours clocked, and not being omniscient, it could have happened without me noticing. Are people making mazes for their dupes to run through? Guinaro Posted August 16, 2019 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Yeah; I don't agree with the loudsleeper trait being negative. It is one of the best negative traits you can get. I always have barracks set up with 8 cots. And have 8 seperate schedules. No dupe in that room sleeps together with a different one. And even so, you can set it up in 4 schedules and still not have issues. Just isolate the snorer's bed 3 cells from the others if they need to be on the same schedule. I claimed to have problems with a 4 slot downtime 2 slot bedtime schedule with double the food consumption. Gus Smedstad Posted August 16, 2019 Share Posted August 16, 2019 Personally, I don't let Dupes venture into volcanoes or the oil biome without spacesuits. So a Dupe taking a nap on a volcano isn't a big deal, since suits appear to be 100% protection against heat. Certainly direct contact with magma or molten metal hasn't caused any harm. I've certainly had my share of scalded Dupes, but it's always because I accidentally released some steam or forgot that a door would conduct heat and superheat the air. Or now and then I've just plain had a machine like a petroleum generator push the air temperature above 75 C because I wasn't actively cooling it. So I guess those could have resulted in a narcoleptic taking a nap at the worst possible time. It's just not so dramatic as playing sacrifice to the volcano goddess. It turns out that if a Dupe has a pee accident while in a suit, they don't release the pee immediately. Instead the pee comes out when they remove the suit. Which implies they're running around in a pee-filled suit. I don't remember it working like that pre-launch. If that changed - and I think it did - maybe farts did too. I guess I should watch one of my farting dupes to see what he does. Any materials that don't fall out of the suit would be a bug.
