Cool Idea for bosses on water.

Recommended Posts

Since the giants don't follow you on water and Klei patched the Telelocator on boats because they can oneshot entities, why not some bosses/mobs can "swim" or "walk" in water? And have new/special attacks while on water, damage the boat or something like this.

Here is some concepts made by me.
Deerclops Idle Water

Dragonfly Slam Attack (Since no lavae)

Goose and Moslings (Prob when Goose do the "Scream" attack some waves appear?)

What do you guys think?

somehow I strongly doubt Dragon Fly would willingly get in contact with massive pools of water.

and deer's attacks would have icy complications

I mean for when the ocean is very near to her setpiece, so you can't run to your boat trying to escape.
For deerclops he should spawn the ice spikes only on the boat. or a new attack while on water.

The pictures are cool but I can not understand what the purpose of this, do not kill on land to kill on the high seas. could complement your idea?

Because you can escape from them with boats (Deerclops, Bearger, Dragonfly etc). So to make it a bit hard they can swim. And I think it's hella cool to fight on ocean like SW.

But we can escape running away on land too no need a boat for this. and I believe  a boat with few sails could not escape a Boss because of its speed

I think it's a bit op that they can't do anything if you jump on boat, on land they can still destroy things. about boats I hope klei add better boats later.

If I remember correctly on RoG release trailer all bosses where coming from somewhere and I was always thinking that they don't just appeared from nothing but they were able to cross the water. Excluding Goose which can just fly from above, other giants couldn't just "spawn" because they season is present. I always was imagining them coming from "somewhere", from other biomes on different islands because they were simply sensing favorable weather conditions. And also Big Foot was able to stamp on previous constant water without immersing too deep which is a proof that water is not actually that deep.

Eu acho que é um pouco op que eles não possam fazer nada se você pular no barco, em terra eles ainda podem destruir coisas. sobre barcos Espero que klei adicione barcos melhores depois.

I know you understand the mechanics of the game, so you understand that once we're about 2 screens away from anything the game pauses the entire map. It's not like they Devastating the map.

Depth is no problem we can say that no one character knows how to swim and make it true

The boats are very hindered due to their slowness. I think any dst sea fight should be an almost pirate-esque fight. Kinda like boarding parties to attack you ON the boat or possibly some big Whale, so big it can eat you(mutated by lunar magic?) Like the bfb in hamlet

Let's remove the dragonfly because all the gems would sink

what if when the dragonfly dies on water the corpse floats for awhile with all the items in a predetermined spot on top of them giving you minutes to get them before the corpse sinks?

I think this is less so players will fight them on the water, and more so that players can't cheese them. Fighting on the boats is painful, especially with how slow they are—and unless you have a Winona, you have no cannons.

Just make a chest spawn, like when Quacken die.
