JackOverkill
Hi i wanna learn ways to cool the robo miner . im already using the door crusher from @SamLogan Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/ Share on other sites
SamLogan
Let water flow on it, radiant pipe is not enough : Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/#findComment-1190156 Share on other sites
JackOverkill
@SamLogan can i have the save ? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/#findComment-1190164 Share on other sites
Lilalaunekuh
My solution is a bit more advanced and stupid at the same time: I use more robominers with reduced line of sight, so if that´s something you don´t want stop reading here^^ => Build a (metal/conductive) tile under the robominer and drip some liquid on it. (Most of the time I just build an plastic tempshift plate and let it melt^^) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/#findComment-1190209 Share on other sites
JackOverkill
cant use that lol . i need something dont broke down and have to replace it constantly Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/#findComment-1190210 Share on other sites

The drawback of my cooling system with the door/auto sweeper that's it reduce the mining zone. I need to change that. SixbySix
Release excess gas next to the robo miner, it cools it then dissipates into space. chemie
you dont need any cooling. just avoid having any space material touch them. build out of steel and they will last several 100 cycles and then replace with space materials. I have had real issues with them breaking and usually drip a few 10g/sec of water on them for cooling. If you race to space and exotic materials and are willing to have them slowly dig themselves out (still need one shielded and that one needs cooling), things are different, but not everybody does it that way. That is certainly not the only possible goal, but it is a valid one. I mean, repairing on miner once every 500+ cycle or building a complex cooling solution? This one is likely ~300 cycles old and looks to me like it is good for 1000+ more cycles no cooling needed and the first part was originally built from steel Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/105778-which-is-the-best-setup-and-best-way-to-cool-robo-miner/#findComment-1191300 Share on other sites

I mean, repairing on miner once every 500+ cycle or building a complex cooling solution? That depends entirely on my personal preferences, don't you think? Also, repairing it may be infeasible without manual intervention (buried in Regolith), and, if I remember correctly, does not bring the temperature down. Sorry, but the only thing I hear here from you is "my way is superior", when that is definitely not the case. Your way is an _option_. It is one of several. And there is no absolute truth that makes it superior. avc15
yeah you really have to deconstruct an overheating building. I hope they address that issue by release date. The repair material should modify a broken building's temperature based on the added material's temp and heat capacity. goatt
you can raise some morbs near robo miner, let them produce PO2, which is always 47 C roughly, then you blow that gas to robo miner and cool them down. Morbs produces unlimited amount of PO2, so very sustainable.
