Pan flute recipe too expensive!

So before the update it took 10 reeds and 1 rope to make a pan flute which I think was too easy especially if you had a nearby by big swamp biome, but now it's 5 reeds 1 rope and a mandrake, this is a VERY big resource investment since only 3-4 spawn per world and can be eaten by pigs,gobblers etc. Although it makes the pan flute more balanced it isn't worth it for only 5 uses. Maybe to make it worth it make the usage to 10 or somehow make mandrakes renewable. maybe when you kill a mandrake it'll drop seeds but needs nightmare fuel and a red gem (or some other expensive recipe) to make fertile mandrake seed

The panflute has already been hotfixed to have more uses since the recipe is more expensive now.The change makes sense to me. The panflute is extremely powerful and useful, so it shouldn't be so easy and cheap to craft.

It would be neat if the turbo farm plot has a rare chance of getting a mandrake, and you can get two seeds per, but the growth of the mandrake would be 5-10 days or a long time with no speed-ups with fertilizer... Or some such. I have such a hard time finding mandrakes in the first place even if I explore the whole map, it isn't even funny...

All though that sounds a bit over overpowered it could work, I just want a way to get mandarkes besides finding them all my mandrakes are in the air so I can't collect them :( I hate glitches

Since the portal and portal items are now more spread out, it's more likely that you'll either scout the entire map before going to the next world, anyway, you're bound to find the 2-4 mandrake in each world. So by the time you hit world 5 you'll have what, 15 panflutes? If they get 20-30 uses each, that'll make the game too easy. There's already not enough spider dens on the map as it is right now!

I don't touch Panflutes now, Anything that uses a none renewable resource is completely off the plate for me.

Does that mean.. you don't craft anything that uses stone? :p Seriously though, I think the resources requirements for it justify the power of it. Being able to nuetralise all mobs on the screen in an instant is pretty damn useful.

It is kinda UP. More charges, maybe double, and it would be fine imo.

Seriosly guys?The pan Flute is useless now!Why use it if it's this rare now?You get 2-4 mandrakes per world so almost 4 pan flutes per world?I'm also a one for the higher difficulty and stress while playing the game,but i just feel like this is not a good change.Either make mandrakes in some sort of way renewable or eliminate them again from the crafting grid and make the crafting harder.For example it could take the initial reeds(10),nightmare fuel,red gem,ice gem(so you atleast have to make it one winter)This is a way to make it renewable
