Considering the time and effort people put in to some of the amazing designs I'v seen floating around it's disturbingly hard to find decent solutions to many of the common questions. After those were done I used the steam rocket + solid thurster with one cargo bay to get space materials from the first layer of planets. I used random pools of polluted water, sieved them and made steam using regolith heat.
