Raspberry Shake
Personally, I'm more of a SW person, just because it's more polished (I'm looking at you floating roc), and doesn't make my game crash on opening. I also prefer the explorative and slightly fantastical gameplay, where you'll go on grand adventures across the seven seas to slay some beast. It's not that Hamlet doesn't have this, I just prefer the ocean-spanning quests to spelunking. Also, in Hamlet you can't climb a active volcano infested with dragon monsters. Naruchii
I love them both equally tbh.. While SW has Volcano, Hamlet has Ruins.. 6 hours ago, Raspberry Milk said: and doesn't make my game crash on opening. I'm sorry that this happened to you, tho its never happens to me.. Perhaps because some of your mods?
G-Forces
I prefer hamlet. The concept is more interesting and sw didn't do much lore wise
Szczuku
Both actually. And I have ideas what devs should add to both to make them better...

Monkey Cups
I prefer Shipwrecked. Hamlet has good ideas, but they need a little work.
Charsis
Hamlet in early access, but game design and idea much better than SW I think. SW if you not have coffee, travel very boring, but Hamlet no coffee make things nicely more of challenge. Hamlet looks to me more fleshed out SW basically. Philsam
SW is beautiful, great mechanics that enhance the atmosphere of "survival". But I find that the medieval and tropical theme of Hamlet at Indiana Jones is more fun.

Hamlet not require much prep, and is more fun early game. SW is boring when you sail across sea for hour with slow boat until you find new island. Hamlet has small river instead to balance out at least. Can't get top speed boost stuff until much later. Even max speed WX boring to play SW because long water distance, really hate it. In regular DS and even more in SW, the first season is you constantly scrambling to get everything you need to do done. In hamlet you need a hat and a sprinkler. Also, I personally find exploring in SW quite fun.
TheMetalMan
A bit too early to be asking this sort of thing. Hamlet is only in early access we don't know what the future may bring. I'll refrain from responding until it's properly out.

Well, as we can see via the close votes, people do seem to like Hamlet in it's current state anyway. This isn't intended to be a perfectly balanced vote, I just wanted to see what people liked more. Tanshu
I love how much new stuff SW introduced but it has never drawn me in quite as much as Hamlet is doing right now, even in its unfinished state. Hamlet is a lot more thematically appealing to me.
Maxposting
I started in SW but then migrated to hamlet on day 45 ( through RoG ) so I could stop the aporkalypse in time... I think Hamlet is great but it brings stuff that will be used in hamlet, only rarely there's something people would use in SW or RoG...
