1. You can use old bell to chop down a large number of trees if you build them together tightly.

 

2. Ruin entrance is always near Spitter dens.

 

3.  Leave Rock Lobsters in ruins, and over  time they will populate and overrun the spiders and Depth worms.  Leaving only nightmare cycle to worry about.

 

4. Vargs can be easily trapped and used as tooth farm.

 

5. Build bee boxes away from your base, as they turn into killer bees in spring.

 

6. Dragonfly can be trapped between two rocks.  rock >  fire

 

7. Top hat is a great/cheap early game counter to sanity drain.

 

8. Leave 20 log/40 cut grass, and 20 Spider Glands near each Resurrection stones to counter freezing/over heating. 

 

9. With 10 blue gems/full moon, you can get a snow chester.  Which allows you to switch out thermal stones, and completely eliminates any overheating issues.  If the snow chest dies, it will return as the normal one.

 

10. Decorate your camp with fireflies, ???, = Awesomeness.

Moleworms will set off your old bell multiple times...learned that one the hard way lol

 

From my experience all monsters stop chasing you as soon as they leave your screen.

15. Make at least two thermal stones.

16. Always carry a light source(logs, grass, twigs/miners hat, lantern). Wouldn't wanna be caught with an enemy at nightfall!

17. If low on Armor durability, make another duplicate item. When the old item breaks, it will automatically switch to the new 100% one! (Note, this does NOT work with weapons and you MUST manually switch to a new one if a weapon is destroyed!)

 

18.Having Trouble with Giants? Guide them to the Marsh! only spiders eat the meat, so Merms and tentacles will leave your drops for you to collect. Which leads us to the next rule...

 

 

19.No matter how good you think you are, always wear armor when picking up drops in the Marsh! You have been warned!

"When it rains frogs, make several traps. Catch the frogs in the traps. Pick them up to collect the legs. Repeat until you are left with only dinner and no more frogs." 

 

26. Also is not true. Beefalo go into heat 1 of 2 ways:

 

1. When not in Spring, Beefalo have a 16-day cycle before they go into heat. This cycle does not always begin on day 1. That cycle lasts from around 3-5 days.

All members of a Beefalo herd are always in the same state of heat at any one time ("in heat" or "not in heat"); however, each Beefalo herd may be in a different state of "heat", since each herd has its own "heat" timer. This will be true whether you have the Reign of Giants Add-on or not

 

2. When in Spring (meaning you must have the Reign of Giants Add on active,) Beefalo are in a constant state of heat (and asexual reproduction.) 

 

To mitigate a Beefalo's heat reaction to you, wear a Beefalo Hat. Therefore, your statement should be:

 

"It's not always clear when a Beefalo herd (outside of spring) will be in heat. Always have a Beefalo Hat ready if you are going to approach them."

#37 When Boss hunting, Take along some gunpowder(Rotten eggs, Charcoal, Nitre). Put boss to sleep-frozen. Drop Powder and light it.

Boom 200 damage For each Gunpowder.... Can be stacked and lighted.

 

 

Edit* careful items can be burned from the gunpowder if you kill the mob with it.
