  1. I can't even tell you how happy this makes me! I know health regenerates, but that's not the point. I always felt so bad and guilty whenever I'd do that, and would actually apologize to Chester for hurting him. He's my only friend!
  2. Fixed followers not being removed from their leader when removed from the world. This should fix some followers' duplication issues (ALL). Am I understanding this correctly? I want to make sure I know what this means, since "follower" and "leader" are design terminology rather than player terminology. Does this mean if we bring a Rock Lobster up from the caves and it spawns a new herd, if we kill the herd AND the original Rock Lobster we brought up, the massive overpopulation spawning will stop? The original Rock Lobster being the leader, and the new herd being followers? If it's not that bug being fixed ... then can you explain what issue this is fixing? Thank you in advance
  3. These are some great changes, you Klei! The dusk ambient light is brighter now. OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH! My old eyes will finally be see clearly again without having to squint and lean in close to my monitor.
  4. Looking forward to your full article! This is in my top 3 favorite games, and I still recommend it to people and gift it occasionally. I have two things that may help with your writeup. Jamie and Kevin's Penny Arcade article from 2012, discussing early design theory. Looks like you're already referring to it, so here are sources: Original forum post: https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/775-design-theory-article-over-at-penny-arcade Article archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20121023001644/https://www.penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/intrinsic-vs.-extrinsic-rewards-in-kleis-latest-game-dont-starve Saved article as a PDF (attached) An absolutely fantastic lore compilation writeup by @Spazmatic of all the teasers, puzzles, and hidden meanings from original "vanilla" Don't Starve - no DLC - in an easy-to-read story format: Original forum post: https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/24433-william-carters-story-so-farpuzzle-findings-and-lore-compilation Archived: https://archive.ph/3V762 OR https://web.archive.org/web/20220000000000*/https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/24433-william-carters-story-so-farpuzzle-findings-and-lore-compilation I don't know if Klei would be willing to comment, but I would be interested - maybe not in your article but sometime - about the drama that surrounded DS-vs-DST. The player base was really split, and a lot of old-timers said they were abandoning the game because of the mere creation of DST. I personally was really interested in DST and held no ill-will towards Klei, but ultimately abandoned it and only play DS. I'd love a peek behind the curtains on the stats of all of that. 5. You can sort the tables on the Wiki... there are little triangles in the table headers, the triangles point up and down. Click on them to sort the table by that column. That said, the old Wiki is so clogged up with ads, you may not want to even stay on the page, LOL. The official Wiki has the same sorting option, without all the intrusion: https://dontstarve.gamepedia.com/Crock_Pot Also, not sure if you guys know about this, our awesome modder @rezecib made it... it lets you put various food values together to see what will be made in the crockpot: https://rezecib.github.io/foodguide/html/index.htm
  6. @Naveil LOL, definitely is, the other one was 5 years, this is 5 years and a month. Klei changed forum providers sometime in 2012, I don't know if it can even get any older that this! Reported so a mod can lock it
  7. One thing I saw in the past was that the host may have their "My Documents" folder, or the "Klei" folder within it, set to "hidden". Whoever created the server (sounds like it was your friend)... right-click on "My Documents" or the "Klei" folder in it, select "Properties", and see if the "hidden" box is checked. Un-check it if so, click Apply, then OK. Start a new server, and see if the problem persists. @Zillvr I remember seeing you add a number of suggestions to past bug reports of the same thing, but can't find the posts anymore. Do you recall some of the other fixes from back in the day?
  8. They've already fixed it, so you should be fine continuing to use "-threaded_render". I added it back to my game and haven't had any more issues. I hear that "-threaded_physics" no longer works though, so if you're using that also, you should probably delete it.
  9. Thank you @bizziboi and especially @DarkXero for catching this!
  10. My game was crashing due to lack of memory also, another user discovered it was because I had set " -threaded_render" in my game launch options. Can you check to see if it's the cause for you? If so, the gang at Klei is aware and working on a fix. Go to your Steam library, right-click on Don't Starve Together, and select "Properties". On the General tab, click on "Set Launch Options" and see if " -threaded_render" is listed there. Another place you could look is in the client.ini file, which is located at: Documents\Klei\DoNotStarveTogether. See if there's a line that states "use_threaded_renderer = true".

  12. Nice catch @DarkXero, you're awesome! I set that up so long ago I completely forgot about it! I removed " -threaded_physics -threaded_render" from my launch options, and now there's no more crashes or running out of memory.
  13. Hi Klei, I have a non-caves local server (with mods and adjustments to world settings) where I'm always in SuperGodMode so I can experiment. It's been working absolutely fine up until the past few days, zero issues. The last time I played was either Friday, July 7th, or Saturday, July 8th. I started the world back up on Friday July 14th, after hotfix 223464: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/80582-game-update-223464/ Thinking it was a mod causing issues, I updated them all and cleaned them. I verified the integrity of my game cache, restarted Steam, and restarted my computer. The old world still crashed, and after much experimentation and flipping mods on/off, I figured out it was c_godmode() or c_supergodmode causing it.
  14. I'm probably in the minority here, but I'll miss them. Was always nice to get an easy gear from the icebox, and purposely adapt a season as-needed. That said, I understand how it could be misunderstood by newcomers or misused intentionally, so I look forward to whatever you replace them with!
