he77789
In the above screenshot, why would that dupe can't get out? It is obvious that when the dupe steps on the weight plate, the door will open automatically.
Soulwind
If the door is locked, the dupe can't path through it. So he never tries to stop on the plate on his own
Prince Mandor
Obvious to you, not to dupe. Just command him manually to Move To
BlueLance
It is obvious to us, but the pathfinding will go to idle which only makes the dupe wander left and right of their location usually. It does not check for the ability to change the situation using its own movements. So yeah, simple for us, not for him. You can change the time of the clock to open the door yourself though
he77789
@turbonl64, don't you see I am just using the ruins bedroom that the door is undeconstructable? Maybe make the AI account for automation? Also, I think the game should save the automation states so our complex automations with memory won't break after reload. If I'm not wrong pressure plate can be edit. Set it to above 0 and you will be fine.

he77789
Locked out? The clock sensor is making the door open in night only so they won't wander back.
PhailRaptor
Easy solution here is to simply deconstruct the Automation Wire... AFAIK wiring is not indestructible like the other Ruins objects. Case and point, you can get some extra Copper from deconstructing the wires in the ceiling of the Morb Vacillator Ruin in the Caustic Biome. Kabrute
I would set the switch to "Below 10000k" or whatever the max is, that way there would be no way to lock the door up
BlueLance
Just turn the clock sensor up to max
Lutzkhie
its locked, adjust the clock, and dont deconstruct any automation wire it will lock the door until an active signal is connected
Kabrute
Dupe, use the switch and run, run to the printing pod
