Creature ignore doors?

Now it seems creature ignore doors, so it is become impossible to keep them in stables. Even powered automated doors do not stop them. I really hate to use a liquid lock to stop them from escaping. I do not think it is intentional.

liquid locks don't stop them, they will jump in and drown lol

If you are still having this problem you could try building the door into the top of the stable. Since creatures can't climb ladders you could keep hatches and slicksters with this method. I don't know what you could do about Dreckos and shinebugs though.

Airlocks do stop them as long as they are closed. But when a dupe opens them, critters are able to pass in the short timewindow.

Exactly, unlike an air-lock when a dupe goes through a pneumatic door the critter can't enter it, and can't get therefore get trapped or escape.  That's what I meant by saying pneumatics worked and airlocks didn't.

(edit:  I can't speak to mechanized air-locks, maybe they're fast enough or maybe it's a property of pneumatic doors only)

Dreck- oh wait, you already said that. :biggrin-new:

The easiest way to trap Dreckos is to keep them on a "floating island" in the middle of the room, and make sure the door to the room is offset from any surface the Dreckos can reach on their island.

Am I the only person who doesn't have a hard time keeping dreckos contained? They move so slow!

What am I doing wrong?  I have a pneumatic door set to auto and when my dupe passes through my puft just flies out.  Randomly a puft will happen to be near the door when the dupe opens it and the puft just comes out.  Should I be able to keep them contained in the stable?

Just another note on pneumatic doors. Currently having a sideways pneumatic door allows dreckos to occasionally walk through. They will still stick to it like a normal wall but if their pathfinding happens to lead outside they will go through it. For example, if theres a sidway door on the floor and there is a single block 2 blocks away that they can jump to, they will jump through the door onto the block.

I'll see if I can submit a bug report soon.

Just use lures to keep pufts and shine bugs in the stable.
