I'm in the middle of playing Don't Starve while I'm writing this, but I still want to take the time to list all the things I found in this update - either introduced in this update or from previous versions - that can be improved in my opinion. I will update this topic frequently, plus I will put issues of people who reply in this specific post so everything is all in one place.

[*]Draw lines between linked Worm Holes after they've been used

[*]Releasing your left mouse button after walking makes Wilson stop, instead of walking to the point where the mouse got released. Is this a bug or an intended feature?

[*]Flying birds make footstep-like sounds

[*]The swallowing sound sounds very odd

[*]Pigs seem to spawn a lot more than in previous updates. Intended or bug? (Fixed)

[*]Sometimes Bee Hives spawn Killer Bees instead of normal Bees (Possible Feature)

Also, I must say that I'm very pleased about the way the new roads look. They are diffidently a huge improvement over the roads from the previous version. Also the map seems to look better and less fragmented, but I can't really tell for sure as I just started to play.

If there are any questions about these suggestions, I will answer those and give some arguments to support them at the same time.

Odd, I recall this suggestion too. And yes, this has been requested by players for ages and I agree it should be added.

Meh. I'm fine with the way it is right now. Although maybe this would be the perfect opportunity for the Devs to include an items that could help players map, like a telescope... or telescopic helmet/goggles.

Well I know players have asked for ways to identify which wormhole goes where. I'm not sure lines are the best method. While not very map-like I personally wouldn't mind it if by hovering your cursor over a wormhole on the map its "end point" flashed to let you know which two were connected. While less realistic, it would certainly be a less messy solution.

GASP! But wait... pig houses still aren't appearing on maps? Admit it, you just won't add them because I keep asking for them. :p

Well it's certainly not a crime to repeat suggestions. God only knows how many times I've done that. ;)

I hope the pigs are here to stay sooooooooooo much BACON as for the bees they seem to only be a problem when you go insane. I miss being able to use wormholes at will but I can't stop jumping in them just the see the freakyness that is insanity. Also 14 days till the next update NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I still have more to play of this latest update but here's some quick points:- When generating a new world (sandbox), it kinda seemed like there was an over-abundance of saplings.- I love the subtle effects that reduced sanity brings. My only criticism is that they seem to onset too fast (the thing you see during the day time).- The sound effect change for eating food is... a little odd. The classic crunch-crunch seemed way more appropriate.- The graphics of objects, especially near the top of the window ("distant" from the player's POV) seem more crisp. It's hard to describe. I'm not saying this as a good or bad point, just that I've very much noticed it.

I think the updates been great, just throwing in my two cents that nothing should be nerfed. I think that killing pigs should lower sanity a bit though since they are civilized folk. Foods still be easy to acquire, but i'm betting winter adds an even more depth to the challenge.

You could always ask for customizable map markers, before the update I just dig the earth next to the wormholes in number shapes, an placed traps near isolated pig houses and near mandrakes.

I do not know if they removed the Rockyland Biome or not, cause I found a bunch of Boulders in a turfless Biome and the Eye Bone in the middle of the forest.

This new update added a new meter that causes insanity, giving new responsibility to the player.

If you chose to go insane, the new monsters are hard, the only way to hit them and get away is to wait for them to taunt and hit them before they finish. If they get hit they teleport (a lot of times in the water). Taffy is made with 3 Honey and 1 Fruit/Vegetable/Honey. Also rabbits suffer a change at this state.

Staying sane is more difficult because you look at the bar constantly for every action you do. I started the world with Wes I had The dapper Vest from a previous character. You loose sanity at dawn and near a light source at night, if you do not have the Dapper vest or the Top Hat, the other acts of insanity aside, while you still have a light source you should not lose sanity, you loose it easily enough as it is: eating Uncooked meat, petals, fighting, Wormholes, staying in the dark.

Spiders are extremely nerved right now, because of they're lowered presence and because of the overflowing Pig Population, on the other hand they have no problems with corners so they will find you at night when the pigs sleep.

The next meter to come is most likely Warmness, and the Breezy Vest, will help with that.

As far as Wes goes, 75HP, 75Sanity, 112Hunger and not one sound from him, it just shows how much you miss the sounds the others make for everything, but most importantly "Did you hear that" or "It is to Dark".

In the opening post I mentioned the problem with the Killer Bees as critical, but after some more research I found a possible explanation of the "problem". There seem to be Hive Fields, where lots of Bee Hives spawn. Those Hive Fields are protected by Killer Bees, while lone Bee Hives are like we know them. I will demonstrate with the following screenshot:

This isn't game breaking or anything, but is it just me or are the Delete/Reset buttons (of the Save menu) in awkward spots? I know you get a second confirm window, but sometimes I accidentally double click! It makes me nervous! Can I suggest for them to be rearranged or resized?

Why do i have to re-research everything for this update that just seems stupid now my guy cant even build a simple chest

The new research method was introduced in Update: Progress (they also stated that the old method would be removed Soon) and was removed completely in Update: Insanity.

I think it's good. It makes the game a little more challenging and gives it more of a rogue feel. You also don't have to spend time gathering Research Points.

I like the new tool breaking animation :Dpig house placement seems broken/bugged i am getting both normal villages and what I call "redneck" villages which are a close clump of about 6-12 on average and tend to be in forest biomes but can spawn on bridges tooI feel the shadow monsters might need a bit of nerfing and their teleporting needs a tweak (they can get stuck)flower petals need a use now that its not a good idea to eat them..

I like the new tool breaking animation :Dpig house placement seems broken/bugged i am getting both normal villages and what I call "redneck" villages which are a close clump of about 6-12 on average and tend to be in forest biomes but can spawn on bridges tooI feel the shadow monsters might need a bit of nerfing and their teleporting needs a tweak (they can get stuck)flower petals need a use now that its not a good idea to eat them..

Pick flowers to reduce insanity then feed them to your pigs for manure.

Make them poison and use them to make poison weapons that once you hit a foe they keep taking damage till they die or are weaker.

I like to call those kinds of places 'The Killing Fields.'

I found my own self-generating killing fields.Spiders are causing the pigs to aggro and kill the spiders as they leave the nest. Beefalo go nuts as the pigs/spiders approach and the pigs gang up and murder the parents who are just defending their babies. All I have to do is stand around and collect massive amounts of loot. Meanwhile, the babies just roam around as all this happens each evening.

This is the highest concentration of different mobs I've ever seen generated. 12 pigmen, growing spider den, small beefalo herd... I bet things get interesting on a full moon!

Quick reply to the new update:-Like the new roads very much! Thank you!-The torch really burns longer and I think it makes coming through the night too easy. Also I found it far more, er, "realistic" that you had to build at least 2 torches for the night. Why does my torch burn as long as the campfire? Would suggest undoing that change.-Very much like the idea that the pigs have flower gardens, but they kinda got out of hand in the adventure mode: post-8035-13764591004919_thumb.jpg-What I really liked is that the Bed Roll is much cheaper now & that it restored Sanity. This was also really intuitive, I thought: Damn sanity very low, what do I do to not turn insane tonight. Ah, how about I just sleep through the night, that should help-I think Sanity should continue to decrease during the night, even if you are in the vicinty of a fire. But maybe if the player build some sort of house, then sanity shouldn't decrease if the player is inside.Suggestion:-The tent should not replenish hunger and get 10 uses instead of just one. (more like a real tent :p) PS: Why is there no recent news text on Steam?

[*]More static textures of which the sides are flickering. Trees, roads and more. Can someone confirm this is a part of the insanity mechanic, instead of being a bug?

This would be great. you could also scribble on the map: Pigs here, Logging operation there, Rabbit holes, etc.

Another thing is: Why does the birdcage drop 2 dedicated seeds so rarely? I think its about 1 in 4. That means if I want to farm some Pumpkin, I have to have at least 5 Farm Plots to be able to Farm Pumpkin and eat them. Can you do that more often

And we would have to use a charcoal and a stick, for a simple coal pencil.But i think the map gets reworked anyways.
