Wave after Wave

After a short moment of awkward staring, Kate realized he wasn't getting it. She grunted and pointed at the plush more fervently. The orange bunny stood out rather well against the white sail, so she hoped he'd notice it upon further inspection.

Meritursas bites down on the back half of the ship, less than gently.  Wood loudly snaps as he lifts the boat out of the water.

"there...is place...I know.  too...shallow...for me...to catch things."

The front of the ship is completely out of the water now.

"we go there."  He says, starting to swim.

"Oh right... Umm..." Gilda looked up to the orange object. How was she supposed to reach that? Could she climb the pole or maybe shake it loose.... She might be able to climb up the beast's jaw to reach it, that would mean being closer to the beast and she didn't like that idea.

Wiffleball hung suspended from the sail. It was more than a little embarrassing to be stuck up there, but to be honest, the alternative was far worse. Nevertheless, it seemed Kate was trying to get him down, judging by the way she kept pointing at him in her distant conversation with the fish woman. She really did care, huh? His gaze fell on the black smudge, contrasting against the white of the sail. He cared about Kate too, he knew that. But he couldn't let his guard down. Had he not stopped himself earlier... He shook his head to rid himself of the thought. Dwelling on it wouldn't help, so he instead chose to focus on his imminent rescue.

The lure dangled over the deck and Gilda looked uneasy. That could be a way up and it was away from the beasts jaw. The child wanted this thing and Gilda didn't want to dissapoint. This was a chance for her to be accepted into this shoal. She clenches her fists and charges at the lure.

Gilda grasps onto the beast's flesh and climbs the lure, digging her claws in to keep a grip. While climbing she lets out a constant shout. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Her face was determined and spear of justic played she leapt from the beast and latched onto the sail.

"This is uncomforatbly high..." Gilda glanced down and then tried to focus on the orange thing on the sail. It seemed to be some sort of fake rabbit? "Come here rabbit thing... Come to Gilda..." She stretched out to grab it.
