Kate was getting curious about what was taking Syndir so long. She had started thinking about going out there to see what he was doing when Noctimus suddenly jumped down and started running away. "Hey! Where are you going! You're sick; you need to be resting!" She easily caught up to the pup and picked him up. "Hey... are you okay? What's the matter?" She asked when she saw how scared he looked.

(Um, YKW, Syndir went outside the mansion, and we're still inside. We aren't near enough for him to see the shadow creatures.)

(You know what to do)

"Tell me, how do you feel now?" Trevor asked.

Silven looked at Markless Trevor blinking while tilting his head to the side. "I haven't a guess. I thought you were the expert on these emotions of happy and angry? Am I doing this wrong for you to not know? Nothing is telling my to bite and run now if that's what you mean but I don't believe there's anything else.. Perhaps I am doing this wrong, here let me try again," with that he tightened his grip on his journal and pen then wrapped his arms around Markless Trevor. Squeezing him as if his life depended on it.

Syndir tsked at the terror beak, and extended his staff out in a threatening manner.

A chill ran down his spine.

He swung around only to be greeted by a second nightmare looming over him. This one was of the crawling type.

"Oh joy."

"Favorite things? Oh uh. My journal and pen so I can keep track of my findings. If I didn't have them then I couldn't keep a log of everything I find interesting," Silven hold up the pen and journal before opening it and writing down what he was just taught. Then he looked up at Markless Trevor. "I believe that is it,"

Kate nods and sets Wiffleball and Noctimus down on the floor. "You two stay here; we'll go see what it is." And with that she and Kade poked their heads out the door. After a little bit of scanning, they saw Syndir in the distance, swinging around his staff. Kade saw something else, however. "Kate! He's in trouble!" He started running towards the shouting coffee man, and she followed, unsure of what the danger was but trusting her brother.

Looking for something to attack with, Kade hastily grabbed onto a twig as he ran and swung at the bigger one. However during mid swing, the stick became enveloped in shadow, turning into a nightmare sword.

"I hmm.. Well I try to fill the journal up with as much useful information as I can then once full I would go to the syndicate for information to be looked over by the members and perhaps one day I shall join them if the information impresses them enough," Silven flips through the pages of his journal seeing all the blank ones. He'll need to fill these in quickly.

Silven looked at Markless Trevor in thought."I...No. No I don't think so. I was made to try and get into the syndicate from birth. Happy seems to be a choice like angry so no, I don't think that would. But I think I do feel the happy when I write something new down.. Perhaps,"

"I don't know. If I don't do what I was made to then my household.. I have no other purpose then to get into the syndicate and married another households member to boost my households standing. What is there to do besides what you were made for?" Silven asked but he wasn't looking at Markless Trevor instead he was looking at the terrain below him.

Syndir took a look at his apparent comrade. Their attack had landed and the nightmare warped elsewhere. Though he wasn't quite sure where. His goddess was here too. The shadow ally must've been her doing. Syndir was supposed to be helping her. Not the other way around. Gah.

He was so captivated by his savior that he forgot about his own nightmare. It prepared for an attack, but before it could land the feathers on Syndir's mask shot out like knives—courtesy of his not so favorite memory eater.

"Well, there is a lot of things Youu could do! You could fish, cook, take walks, play an instrument, sing, dance, build, explore, sew, do whatever those rich people do for fun, and much more! You aren't bound to one thing! You can do whatever you want!" Trevor explained.

Silvens eyes widened. He didn't know what an instrument was or sing or dance, not even what a fish was but they sounded important as the Markless Trevor listed off things the he could do. Could he? He wasn't sure but the thought made his mind go into overdrive of everything that could happen, that he could do! And it was too much for him to handle as he fell back unconscious.
