The problem was he didn't want to upset the dragon by pulling away. Actually, he wasn't even sure that he could pull away, so he just stayed in place. Kate felt so tired and was surrounded by soft, warm, sleeping things, so she began to nod off. She jerked her head back up. No, she didn't want to sleep. She didn't want the nightmares. But she was so, so tired. She struggled to stay awake for a while before eventually surrendering and laying her head down on Angie, drifting off with Wiffleball still in her arms. ~~~~~~~~ The dragon decided that that was a long enough hug, mostly because she was really hungry and wanted to find something to eat, and let her favorite humans person go. Not before giving him a quick squeeze though.
