Viridis saw Noctimus look at the sea hound in a worrying fashion. "Huh? Is there... something with Jaw?" Viridis asks. "Jaw! ...why are you... covering yourself?" She says while having pointed a little too fast at him with her claw, causing the fish to launch off it and slap Jaw in the face. "Oh! I am... sorry...!" She covered her mouth with her claws.

Jaw gets slapped in the face by the fish and jumps back, screaming

Noctimus scurries over to Jaw while squeaking "YOU OKAY?"  

(And now we wait)

Kate pulled Wiffleball into a hug for a moment before releasing him and standing up. She heard the orange dog shout "pair-a-sight," whatever that word meant, and turned her head to see what was going on when the orange dog handed the pup off to the green lady and- OH MY GOODNESS HE SAID LOVE! SO CUUUUUTE!!! And then a bunch of stuff involving droping and crying and runining happened so fast that she wasn't sure what to do about it so she just stood there like an idiot.

He felt kinda bad for doing that, and went back to just swinging his umbrella.

Famen could tell his song was over. He climbed out of the storage, missing the hole Gyx blasted into the side. "Hey what's up?" He said, before watching all the chaos go down.

Gyx nodded at Viridis. "Rghf Crghs Thgh Wghtrghs Srlty. Jrst Lyrk Yrgh..." He mocked, a pair of shades falling from the heavens over his eyes.

He turned his attention to the small black creature, who he never was properly introduced to. He rwwghd, knelt down, and picked it up, holding it like a baby.

He then opened his mouth, revealing rows of small teeth.

(I just realized it's physically impossible for Noctimus to be crying at this point.)

"Perhaps...we should all...calm down."  Meritursas suggests, to the disbelief of everyone.  They had never even considered such a shocking possibility.

"R-right." Viridis said, and walked over to Jaw. "I am... sorry for that. Did it hurt?" she asked, hoping she would be forgiven.
"You can... have the fish if you want!"

Noctimus was terrified of the giant scary monster. He was so scared he jumped out of it's hands without having a safe area to land on in mind.

Wiffleball noticed the commotion going on, then decided it would be a good idea to run over and intervene. Unfortunately, he forgot that he was completely unfit to run in his current state, and so he ended up falling forwards and doing a magnificent faceplant onto the deck before sliding to a halt right under Gyx. Shortly after, Noctimus fell on him with a "squeak".

Noctimus was saved by Ma! Thank you Ma! Noctimus stepped off Wiffleball and started nuzzling him and chanting "LUV MA!" over and over.

(So I've only read about 55 pages in so far, but I have some questions if I could get a moment of your time: Are you still accepting joinees? And if so have you all fiddled with the volcano at all (66 pages left)? Also is this about to end or something?)

"It is all yours!" Viridis says happily. She was relieved that he had forgiven her.

Jaw chews on the fish and eats the head, but then stops. He looks at Gilda, then at Noctimus. He decides to try this new thing he learned, sharing. It feels like something a good leader would need. So Jaw takes the other half of the fish, breaks it in half and hands one at Noctimus

The ship finally arrives at its destination, a huge lagoon filled with hundreds of large, rocky islands.  Mangrove trees sprout from wherever the water is shallow enough, and the whole thing has a very pleasant, tropical air.  Meritursas sets the boat down on one of the islands, and chases a few schools of fish around the water before returning to the group.

"The map seems to lead...into the mainland.  I cannot accompany you."  He says.  "Be careful."

He swims over to Famen and turns to the side, showing him the swordfish embedded in his side.  "It's dangerous to go alone!  take this."

"Ah!" Viridis says, looking very eager to explore the lagoon. She jumped off the boat and started running to one of the Mangrove trees, leaping onto it. "A tree... with exposed roots! How curious." she says while she was hugging the base of the tree.
