I forgot if feeding still works, but if it does, you can force-feed them mushrooms or monster meats.

 

You can also drop and burn items near their feet, assuming they're not Willow.

I remember that blow darts deal 100 damage per shot. It's enough to kill almost everyone in two hits...

 

You can always go with Wickerbottom, force them to sleep with a book, and summon tentacles with an other one... Hahaha. Wickerbottom is overpowered.

PVP is (almost) dead right now.

There is force-feed, which is useless cause you can't force-feed whilst a person is moving anymore.

There (was) an option to light something in your inventory as Willow and give it to another player. Was removed.

There are blowdarts. Which do 4 damage if the other person has both logsuit and football helmet. With the singleplayer damage multiplier, in DST they lowered the damage. 

There is meele combat, in which who has most heals and armor should win, right? Take this out of the list because of the latency.

There is Wolfgang's speed buff when mighty, which helps a lot in meele combat, right? B-A-N-N-E-D.

There is Willow's advantage of being immune to fire, but fire does like no damage now (I actually like it)

On top of that, host can use console to cheat.

If you want to go PVP, just go wickerbottom.

I never play as her, I pretty much mostly go Wilson, because I have easy access to insulation and that I like his quotes, but if you can find reeds, which you pretty much can in most games I have been on so far, Wickerbottom will be amazing. She can use lightning, put enemies to sleep, easy access to food when you have enough bird traps....

Heck, after playing Wilson for so long, i'd find her to be easy mode.

Gunpowder is also pretty funny when the player your fighting is too dumb to move away.
I once had a griefer in the base in a dedicated server without votekick or PvP.
That guy took all the precious stuff from our chests. I just lit some gunpowder next
to him, he didn't move away and was killed instantly.

Sadly, there are 2 mods which are not published yet - Optimizer and ServerMod. These mods are basis of the gameplay and CPU performance.

 

Actually, ServerMod contains very many little mods not existing in workshop. For example, marble can reflect cold damage back to caster (ice staff). Crows can eat small meat (0,5 units of meat). Logout decreases age of player by 1 day. Earmuffs hat as a gift in winter (and rare drop of Santa Hat). Tuning of Abigail Flower and many other little tweaks and improvements. Main goal is to make gameplay to be balanced whithout OP in any aspects.

That's alright, modding a pvp server to make it a funnier experience is pretty sweet.

I'm not talking dead as in no one does PVP, but more like, it's pretty hard to actually do PVP and have fun. The variety PVP offers on non-modded servers is at the same level on Minecraft. You spam click control-f and pray for good latency. And as character have the same speed, most PVP you will ever experience is running around. Unless you are playing mighty Wolfgang, but you still gotta have a good latency, and if you do, all you do is still spam-clicking your weapon.

That if hosts don't ban you, cause every kind of PVP (even with PVP enabled) is "GRIEFING!!".

And it's not like there wasn't any diversity. Force-feeding was game changing, and giving burning boards to another person was pretty sweet as well.

Nobody can give you advice that will allow you to handle any player with ease. Your best bet with all honesty is through your own personal trial and error. Seek out pvp servers, matches, tournaments, and the like and practice combat first hand until you make it to the top!

Freezed player can instantly move when they thaw/get hit, but wakin from sleep has a long ass animation.

But it is direct counter, yeah.

I remember that blow darts deal 100 damage per shot. It's enough to kill almost everyone in two hits...

 

You can always go with Wickerbottom, force them to sleep with a book, and summon tentacles with an other one... Hahaha. Wickerbottom is overpowered.

Don't forget about the large sanity drain from doing so, which could lead to wickerbottoms death. Also getting both of those books can be challenging.

This is true green caps can be fairly easy to find; however, they cost HP to use and that can also be dangerous in PvP. I do agree that Wickerbottom is powerful tho, one of my favorite characters! =]
