<There's some worthless fleabags about to kill you> "I realized." Crow said as he continued eating. <You don't want to die to a mutt, do you? I know I don't...> "Fine." Crow pulls out a knife from his coat and lazily lumbers towards the other people about to fight.

"I don't think the talking tree would be too happy with yet another hound around. We went through enough trouble to convince him to not attack the plant's hound." Athena say while motioning to Wulfric.

Wilson quickly pulls a staff with a red gem on top and a hand full of darts out of one of the chests.

"Miss, I suggest you make a spear and some armor out of the supplies we have. I don't want you defenseless when you've just recovered from an injury" (talking to Cypress)

The trees about a mile north informed Newleaf about an alarming amount of red hounds charging towards his location, three times the amount that normally comes in a wave, and some of them were foaming at the mouth.

(This won't end well.)

"Many are coming, and they seem a good deal more... Er... Savage then normal. They're of the firey variety, as well." Newleaf frowned, clearly troubled.

Meanwhile, WX took to arms, grabbing a spear, and he looked around for the upcoming danger.

Cypress glanced over at Wulfric. So that's the same species as the ones that are going to attack... She'd have to ask Wulfric if she could collect him... She rolled her shoulder, the flesh still somewhat tender, she'd need a form that didn't used the shoulder much... That huge cyclops bird could work, then again she couldn't walk very easily like that and the hounds that were heading their way didn't look like they'd play around.

The hounds headed their way looked different to Wulfric, perhaps a sub-species... She'd have to inspect them at a later date... Maybe she should just for for the crocodile form again..... Hope she didn't get overwhelmed... Then again there was always the flee option they looked strong enough with one less person...

She sighed and picked up a spear just in case, she'd change only if needed.

Wilson nods, acknowledging Newleaf's information and quickly changing his red staff out for one with a blue gem.

"This variant of hound will ignite upon death, so be cautious."

"A fire version. Great. Just fantastic." Athena pulled out her spear and shield again, facing the direction the hounds were coming from.

Addomiddius had been watching, and decided that the sheer number of hounds coming for his prey would be too bothersome to handle, even though he could dispatch them without much effort if her desired. So he climbed up a nearby tree and sat on one of the sturdier branches to watch and wait for chaos to unfold.

After a few tense minutes, the glows and howls grew defining. The wave red hounds emerged over the horizon, pounding their paws on the earth as they ran and roared over each other with excitement and blood lust. They were heading straight towards the group and showing no signs of slowing down.

Wakana's screech disoriented the hounds which caused them to slow and swerve into each other, but not stop completely. The problem was the screech also affected the others in the group, although not as badly as they weren't directly in front of the blast. Newleaf's vines reached the hounds in the front while they were still disoriented.

A few sparks flew off of WX as Wakana emitted the screech. "VOLUME INPUT OVERLOADED." Newleaf, however, seemed relatively unaffected. His vines reached the hounds and began strangling them, stabbing through them, and tearing them limb from limb.

As the hounds that were caught in the vines died their bodies caught alight. The flames started burning away the vines, consuming and driving back the wave of green. Now recovered, the others climbed over the charred bodies of their comrades and charged at the group with renewed blood lust.

Wilson, also recovered from the blast, sends bolts of ice from his staff at the oncoming wave, slowing some of the hounds and decreasing the flames. Athena recovered just in time to bash a hound headed straight for her with her shield. It fell back, but quickly scrambled back up and lunged again. She held it at bay with her shield, the hound snapping and snarling as foam dripped from it's mouth.

Addomiddius watched from the tree at a distance were he would be undisturbed by the savage, witless hounds. He had to admit, he could see the entertainment value in this. The battle was exhilarating, but what excited him more though was the after math. The hounds, all though brainless beasts build for savagery, gave off an aura of insanity that affected the puppets, especially the one he had chosen as his preferred prey.

Crow gulped down the rest of his orange juice and threw the glass at the hounds. He wanted more bacon so he slowly walked back towards the storages. He picked up a piece and dropped it into the fire upon hearing the screech. "What the hell man!"

Angered at the loss of his bacon, Crow charged at the hounds, annoyed at their dumb slobbering.

(Where Crow got the glass and the orange juice I'll never know.)

Two hounds charged at Crow, one of them foaming at the mouth. The normal one, however, stopped suddenly, perked up it's ears, sniffed the air. It smelled the sent of the bacon and abandoned the chase for a moment to wade into the fire and wolf it down. The rabid one seemed to care less for the bacon and lunged at Crow.

The rabid hound screeched as the knife entered it's eye. It pulled back and shook it's head, splattering purple, fowl smelling blood as it did. It narrowed it's working eye at Crow, snarling and growling with even more ferocity before lunging at his leg, looking to sink his teeth into it.

The other hound's tail wagged as it nommed on the last bits of bacon. It lifted it's head up and licked the last bits of grease off it's face before remembering that he was supposed to be charging at people and stuff. It turned back to Crow and growled, not nearly as viciously as the rabid one, and charged as well.

Not accustomed to fighting hounds, Crow tried to move out of the way but the hounds foaming teeth sunk into his exposed leg. He didn't make a sound when bit but his face twisted in pain. Feathers erupted at the spot the hound was holding and Crow started repetitively stabbing the hound in the head, hoping it would let go.
