Things you had to die/suffer before finding out

Recommended Posts

When you drop your grass to make inventory space and it turns night without any light sources... you're going to have a bad time. This happens to me on a new world (I'm only about 6 days in?) and I found a touchstone beforehand. I was so upset that I essentially wasted a touchstone so early in the game for being an idiot and not dropping something not immediately significant, like my nitre or gold nuggets.

Well I didn't die and suffering would be a harsh way to put it, but recently I found out that Lure Plants can spawn in the middle of tooth trap fields and eat them...

Pitchforks are a wondrous invention.

this might be from early beta but hey it did count

- cutting down trees summons a treeguard that will destroy you if you try to fight it head on without weapons or armor (yeah now i fell like a dummy for that)

- Whatever you do never visit a pig town at fullmoon

- giant eyeball on legs (aka Tallbirds) are not friendly and never try to snag their eggs without a plan B

- Monstermeat is not healthy

- Bunnymen don't like meat products

Ā

just some stuff that happend to me early and even later on (suprisingly i never died of starvation or hounds ^^)

I thought Chester was very frail, and will never come back after dead, I protected him with my own life, barely living every fight Chester picked up.

I was suffering great wounds, and then after trying to escape with teleportato I tried to kill chester with 10% of my reamaining spear, Spear broke, I had to finish him with tentacle spike, but before I got it, he was at full health again! Also the day when I decided to finally hop to teleportato Chester came back, welp, now I am using him as my tanker.

If you have found an empty walrus camp in summer, always put 1-2 spider eggs near it a while before winter. it cancels out the problems of Mac tusk and in when summer arrives you will have more silk and hounds teeth than you will ever use

Assuming you are nearby to start this. If not, you'll return to nothing. Another stupid thing I also learned.Ā

ALWAYS put a firepit and winter provisions near the touchstones and meat effigies along with weapons and armor.

When in doubt RUN

Do not stop to pick up the random loot in the marshes

fight fire hounds outside of camp
