Things you had to die/suffer before finding out

Recommended Posts

ALWAYS put a firepit and winter provisions near the touchstones and meat effigies along with weapons and armor.

When in doubt RUN

Do not stop to pick up the random loot in the marshes unless you are armored

fight fire hounds outside of camp

FTFY!

The farm is meant for rabbits to kill spiders for silk and glands. I usually come back after 3 weeks to nothing.

Are you high?

Oh my god, you meant bunnies, the giant rabbits are called bunnies.

I thought you planted some spider nests near rabbit holes and expected some glands and silk to show up... unless you really did that, and that's why it doesn't work...

Oh yeah, for me it's "You can never have enough lightning rods"

I still don't build enough and all my berry/grass/twig farms always burn down.

I just forget, man.

In my world-1 with Wilson, I have them in a grid pattern across my base. No matter where I go or how I orient the camera, there's always one visible. **** lightning.

It doesn't work because he checks it's outside the loading area. He doesn't find the area filled with silk and rot for the same reason the swamp is not filled with silk and rot.

I learned quite a few things playing as that robot.

1.Rain CAN kill you if you are a robot(fought off spider queen and had 10 hp left...then rain showed up). =C

2.Do NOT pick up the glowing fruit in the caves...its a trap!

3.Do not bother upgrading the robot if all you are gonna do is try beat adventure mode as the upgrades don't save(which sucks)

4.You also WILL NOT get to keep that fully upgraded robot if you did after beating adventure mode.

5.Hostile Nightmare creatures in the ruins WILL turn the Horror(insanity) creatures hostile as well.

6.Each light in the ruins can spawn a Nightmare creature of their own(so you CAN get swarmed by an army of nightmareBeaks).

7.the effects of Overcharge stacks...so if you were hit by 2 lightning you will stay overcharged for 2 days and etc.

8.Do not try to tank the Guardian with wooden armor...

9.Do not try to take the Guardian on with less than 10 rock lobsters(he WILL win that battle).

10.Do not explore new areas in the Caves and Ruins without armor(just dont wear the backpack at all).

11.Eyeplants can spawn on wormhole exits and even in the middle of your own base.(this was horrible!) =c

Use Controls menu to change your "rotate screen" keys to something other than Q and E. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a battle when trying to kite only to have the screen rotate by mistake. Your character gets hit bad and now you can't tell which way is out anymore.

I set mine to T and Y.  I only rotate when I need to pick up something oddly in the calm.  Keeping the same orientation at all times makes it far far easier to keep your sense of direction.

Or for the love of all that is Holy, wear Tanking Armor

Tank or Tank Not, there is no Kite....

Tank you very much sir.

Tanks a lot.

Have my tanks.

Well, tanks, I guess.

Tanks for the info.

Tank gosh we have no homework.

I'd like to tank the academy.

Okay, I think I'm done.

WAIT

I'll never forget this even if I want to.

You know what that means, right?

*Sings*

TANKS, FOR THE MEMORIES....

What's the point?

They will stunlock you anyway and armour will quickly fade, the only thing left is to run

You're assuming you just stand still even if you don't kite. Try hitting, stun-locking them, stagger and moving a bit. While not pretty (and using marble suits if I'm doing a bunch of T3's, )I have done it.

Don't like to do it that way (and eventually have to run a bit to wear down their numbers before continuing if multiples in a higher tier,) but I have done it.

Ahh, unless you get the Treeguard to walk into the Tallbird's nest zone...then it's instant dinner/inventory for the bird's side and Lief is your buddy...okay neutral. .

AND THEN YOU FORCE HIM TO BE YOUR BUDDY BY POKING HIM IN THE TOE THEN SPAWNING A CHILD
