If you could HUG one character who would it be?

This is just a wholesome question that I think should be asked. Who is the character you like so much you would hug them? This for once isn't focused on any logic, it is just rated by general personal sympathy + "cuddliness"(?lol) of the character.

(I am sorry that this question disregards which characters WANTS to be hugged, but considering we are players not characters ourselves it would more meant in a 'I appreciate your existence and think you are adorable" hug. In person I would not hug anyone but for fictional characters, there are more like plüschis / dolls to me so I consider them huggable.)

Enough explanation. Since I honestly can't decide for ONE character I would hug I make a list of the order in which I would hug every DS/T characters and the reason for it.

1. Webber

He's a kid who sure seems to miss his parents a lot so in general he deserves hugs, plus fluffy spider fluff for extra plüschi fluffiness.

2. Wortox

The furry bonus. It's impossible not to hug a furry. He's basically a chibi Krampus plüschi.

3. Wilson with beard

A soft fuzzy huggable magnificant beard makes Wilson the cuddliest of all grown up men. Plus Wilson in general is my favourite playable DS characters (before unlocking Maxwell.) He went through so much that I must hug him for being the ever-put-in-danger mascot of the game.

4. Wolfgang

He's a giant huggable protective friend! There is no reason to not hug him. Also applies to whimpy Wolfgang because strong man has such a kind heart that makes him huggable and STRONG even when not showing in muscles.

5. Willow

Hugging her (AND BERNIE!) because she has Bernie and therefore appreciates lifelong plüschi companions (as a fellow grown up Teddy bear best friend owner I will get my Teddy and have me and Teddy give her and Bernie hugs). Plus as an orphan she deserves being valued for who she is and that includes a hug.

6. WX-78

Robots automatically qualify as non-squishy plüschis / dolls which means I must hug them. Also I feel a deep relation to their dysphoria and although I am repulsed of physical hugging irl I still hug them, just to show that I understand the desire to escape the restrictions of ones body and removing the empathy modul.

7. Weregoose Woodie

It's just fun to have him wiggle around while being hugged x) Also I consider birds feathery fluffies.

8. Wurt

Same as for Wortox. Scalies are basically non-fluffy furries and therefore are automatically to be hugged! Also she looks squishy and wet and therefore even more huggable :3 It's like hugging a big fishy

9. Wes

He's an artists and I love artists, and the mime makeup makes him permanently look doll like, and he is the most likely to hug me back! (I wouldn't mind fictional characters hugging me irl so I wouldn't mind too.)

10: Wendy and Abigail

I love ghosts so Abigail gets hugged first (also I must find out whether ghosts can take a squeezable form) and then I hug Wendy simply in order to cheer her up, if maybe only for a second.

11: Warly

I'm sure he constantly smells like food so hugging him for the sake of diving into good food-smells is worth it (plus I want to give him hugs to let him know he's loved and because I read in some quote of his he's got seperation anxiety.)

12: Woodie (human)

His face reminds me of fuzzy fur, so I must hug it! I bet it tickles to hug him

13: Wanda (old)

Looks like everyone's favourite grandmother and therefore must be hugged.

14. Wickerbottom

Same as old Wanda, but old Wanda looks squishier and therefore gets hugged first. Also I appreciate book-reading wise old people in general and think they deserve a hug for carrying knowledge to the next generation.

15. Wilson (without beard)

Explained earlier that he is a general favourite character plus fellow failed scientists gets a comfort hug of support.

16. Walter

As a former scout I hug him because scouts worldwide are brothers so he is kind of childhood-family to me. I also hug his big woofie friend :3

17. Wheeler

I want to hug her because of how soft her hair looks like :'3

18. Wilba

Furry bonus again, and pigs are cool in general. Also I want to hear the sound she makes when she's being squeezed :3

19. Wagstaff

Favourite male hairstyle ever! He just looks like quirky scientist grandpa so I hug him of course (especially to ruffle his hair to make it look even wilder).

20.Warbucks

Get's hugs for being forgotten. And because he looks like a funny grandpa character too :3

21. Charlie (shadow monster)

I want to hug her shadowy night monster form because shadow-creatures look cute by my definition and I must find out whether they can be squeezable too.

22. Maxwell

He's a tall lanky person and therefore looks like some sort of long limbed ragdoll, of course that must be hugged! Plus villain bonus so he gets extra tight 'revenge' hugs to make him feel the pain he inflicted on others. x) (A bit hesitant at first as I am scared I might break his bones if I hug him too tight, but that's a risk worth taking. Also I am a small adult, there is not that much damage I can do, I suppose.)

23. Wigfrid

I hug her for being such a brave warrior and because I must find out whether opera singers when being squeezed really tightly sound like singing instead of squeaking.

24. Winona

Gets hugged as a 'thank you' for being so useful for society and for being a strong woman. (sorry for hugging her so late though.)

25. Walani

Get's hugged because she seems like a surprisingly relaxed person so I think she wouldn't mind getting hugged.

26. Charlie (non-shadow-monster)

Gets a 'thank you' hug for providing us with the stageplay and for adding the roses-theme to the world.

26. Woodlegs

He has a fuzzy face but I am not sure if he takes care of his teeth enough so I wanted to hug him earlier but I feel a bit hesitant of getting close to his face (despite the cute fuzziness).

28. Woodie (Werebeaver)

He just looks like a big fat floof plüschi so I hug him (but feeling a bit intimidated by beever teeth so he gets hugged later than the other furries)

29. Woodie (Weremoose)

I am intimidated by weremoose's size but he's a furry too, so sooner or later I will hug him.

30. Wilbur

He's a monkey and I am feeling a bit intimidated by monkey's so once again gets the furry bonus hugs, but I am feeling even more intimidated by him than by weremoose.

31. Wonkey

Same as Wilbur, but Wilbur is the monkey king so he gets the hug priviledge first.

32. Wormwood

He's such a huggable plant friend but I am scared of hugging him after he fertilized himself for fear of contamination so I hug him when he's blooming and after rinsing him with water a LOT ;;

Sadly I don't think I'd be willing to hug any of them as l think they'd all stink very much well probably not blooming Wormwood but I imagine touching him wouldn't be very sanitary anyway.

You are absolutely right, which is why I was hesitant at making this thread in the first place, but then I tried to go by my off-screen assumption that the occasionally take a bath in lakes or oceans at least. ^^

I know you say not logic just empathy, but I had a friend once who own a Tarantula and let me tell you something the hair of a spider is Itchy as **** even after the hug, you’re gonna have itchy fur all over you, and the itchy is gonna stay for the days to come.

But if I ever see a sad Webber, not just me all we're gonna give him a nice huge hug no matter what.

I can’t tell if she even wants to be hug in the first place hahaha she can be a little mischief vermin sometimes and the chances of getting bite if she's not on the mood is quite high but I guessing is like hugging a frog with scales and the smell of a durian.

I’ll take the risk, anyways, I wish we have more interactions, or I can recruit it and bring it to my base I’m always up for more ways to decorate and bring life to my base.

Yea excluding the part of the fertilizer… Wormwood is probably the most friendlier of all, the moment you hug him he’s gonna hug you back immediately with a big smile and because of the lack of experience with non-plants and how awkward he can be, there’s a high chance he’ll hug you so hard to the point of almost suffocate you and he’ll keep hugging you for extends periods of time, just hug him in spring otherwise... yea no.

Frost Jaw is my choice and maybe Wormwood and about the rest of humans ugh gross image the smell no way…

And yes, I bet they all stink, so I'd love to get them all a nice bath. But smell or no smell, I think they all need and deserve hugs!

Disregarding the objections and attempts of intimidation, I would absolutely hug Maxwell. Man spent an eternity with no real human contact, so he definitely needs that! But very gently, out of fear of him literally crumbling to dust at the smallest of touch, being as frail as he is.. ^^"

Also Charlie, for sure! She is the sweetest and didn't deserve any of that! Although the way she is now, I doubt I could get close enough without her other half murdering me, so that might be a problem.

And Webber and Wendy for sure! They are literal children that should be with their families rather than struggling to survive.

And Wilson seems very huggable in general. I think he'd be very awkward about it, not being a social person exactly, but he'd probably appreciate it none the less.

Warly seems very huggable as well, definitely needs one, and provides food that I'd be super grateful for. "Hug the chef," always!

And then most of the others, leaving out a few that wouldn't take it well.

I am fully aware of some spiders' defensive hair irl xD Don't worry. But the following discomfort is totally worth hugging Webber nevertheless. I just hope it wouldn't make him shed his hair as an reaction to it. (Spiders look so weird when they throw off their hair and turn particially bald xD I always feel sorry for some of the bald spiders I see in spider exhibition terrariums.)

I imagine Wortox to feel like the goats I keep petting. They feel a little scruffy but still very soft for my definition of softness. The hug would, like for the goats be more of a *huggy-fur-scratch-ruffle* (the goats seem to like it and I imagine Wortox to also give me a nudge with his snout to please continue when I stop hugging him. (the snout should be safe shouldn't it? It's just the dangerous paws)

It's ok Wurt can bite me any time I will just definitely bite scratch and headbutt her back. No way I would that have me not take the risk (considering she's a fictional character or else I wouldn't take the risk of potentially getting an infection from risking a merme injury) Also the smell of durian is endurable (It IS after all I know it is "just" a fruit and not what it smells like lol) so I won't mind that.

Frost Jaw is actually also a big cuddly plüschi now that you say it. If I took mobs into consideration I would probably hug almost everyone due to the furry-/creature bonus x) They are almost all plüschis. (I'd most likely hug clockworks and shadowcreatures and ghosts though as they are the cutest of them all [Since I am not a in-game character I can gladly stay alive doing so x) ]

YAY SQUEEZY HUGS FROM WORMWOOD!!!! If I hug extremly close irl friends in the rare cases I do I do the squeezy hugs almost automatically so I won't mind to get an almost deadly hug back for once. (I just really want him to be scrubbed off and rinsed off the fertilizer first, definitely or else I will run away screaming from him wanting to hug me, be it a virtual "plüschi" like hug or not)

About the humans, my above huggy list counts seriously ONLY under my headcanon condition that they have taken a bath at first lol.

Thanks, that definitely IS one of the most important questions. One has to show appreciation for the fictional characters, since they are basically like toys, and toys need huggies.

About Maxwell, he gets my part of the human contact by getting the mentioned villain-deserved-'revenge'-extremly-tight-squeezy hugs from me, so I think this counts as enough hugs that if they don't kill him will both satisfy my human-contact level (if he as a fictional character wasn't basically a plüschi to me) and his human-contact level up for an eternity. But since everyone here is allowed to hug as much as they want seperate from each other he can be hugged by everyone.

Don't worry about the hugs you give to Charlie, as a player you are invincible to fictional character attacks so have fun to hug her as much as you want She deserve it too.

Webber and Wendy are definitely meant to be hugged, not just by us, but should be hugged by their fellow characters regularly too.

Wilson may feel the same awkward that I feel about real-life touch so I get that he would feel weird about it, but since our hugs are basically at a different level since we show our love for fictional characters with it, he hopefully can feel a little less weird about it. (if Wilson was a real human I'd probably struggle a lot with touching him, unless I managed to spend a LOT time with him before, which shouldn't be too hard since I love his obsessions despite not being very social irl either unless based on interests only)

Hug the chef for Warly indeed Someone should make him a apron with that phrase. Maybe being hugged more may make him feel less anxious too.

I even hug the ones that wouldn't like it, maybe explaining them before that a hug from a player person is something else then from a fellow character, since we are not actually living in the same world so the hugs are not REALLY physical, but more on a owner-hugs-toy connection.

I can't choose just one so I'll give you a top five from most to least likely I'd wanna hug.

1. Webber cause he's my fave and is just a sweet loveable spider boy. Also after everything he's been through I feel he could use a hug. (bonus points for likely being fluffy too!)

2. Wendy, mostly cause after all she's gone through and how deeply depressed she often is I feel like she'd REALLY need one and I wanna comfort her.

3. Wolfgang. Big super friendly and likeable buff man who could lift me up like nothing and probably gives amazing bear hugs, that's pretty much it.

4. Wormwood. Assuming he's not covered in poop and is clean he's just a friendly and lonely plant guy and I love him a bunch, he'd probably appreciate a nice hug.

5. Willow cause I relate to her a whole lot and feel terribly bad for everything she'd gone through in her childhood. Only reason she's the last one is cause I'd feel like she'd want a hug the least.
