I am not a fan in the change to the picking noise

I'm not a fan of the new picking noises (I've noticed it so far for saplings, grass, and wood).

It's no longer consistent across all items and if anything, just bring something that was a nice background noise unnecessarily into the foreground.

I think the sound could be tweaked. Make them sound softer and quieter.

I dont like the sounds either, But i can see myself growing on them. Especially If they make the sounds softer.

Very at least add a option in settings to turn the unique sounds on and off.

The new sound is item dependent.  Picking up rocks sounds like you maybe clacked two rocks together, picking up grass has a sound similar to the harvest sound, but many items still have the ding we've had so far so its kinda... idk its a new thing, something to get used to, and something I think would work better if none of the sounds had the ding because together the two create a strong feeling of dissonance.

I actually like the concept of each item having it's own pick sound, however only changing a handful of items is just strange, especially for players who've been playing for a while now. If the plan is to change every item then they should've waited until every item was done. Hopefully this either gets changed or someone makes a mod that reverts the sounds.

I'm still massively waiting for the day Klei improve the audio settings of the game to lower HUD sounds instead of the whole game sounds aside of music and ambient, how can that be normal ?

I like the new item sounds themselves, I’m actually a little annoyed that the standard one is still here, and that there is still that ultra spammy sound in the game menu every time you hover something, anything, to the point you can have it plays 10 times a second. (Like scrolling in mod list)

All I think is needed is the ability to quiet down all the UI sounds without touching the rest, more audio options :)

Oh nice hope it's easier on the ears than the old "ding!"

Cause the classic ding is sharp and a bit too loud compared to other sounds.

I am a fan of the new ones. They do need a bit of work, like there still needing more categories of sounds for items that still use generic, gems sometimes using cloth, and items in an existing category still using generic (such as driftwood). I imagine that will be sorted out in due time and I am okay with what we have for now.
