Wonkey art suggestions!

Hellooo!!

Gonna preface this and say I absolutely adore Wonkey. I love them to bits, they were such a surprise. 

Since the beta is fresh I did want to make some minor suggestions about Wonkey's art and general aspects. Posting this here so I can see how others feel, too!
After playing as Wonkey the first thing I noticed was that they weren't entirely fluffy! Unlike the other monkeys we got. Additionally their fur colors are different, not quite the same nice orange the hostile ones are. Their body shape and tail seem to be that of Wortoxs' which I think could also be deviated from a wee bit.

Here are some differences between both Monkeys' art. Wonkey is absolutely almost perfect for me, though I did want to suggest adding a bit of fluff to them and making them a little bit closer to the cool orange the Powder Monkeys are!

I'm curious if others feel the same way and want to see the mentioned changes make it to base game.

Orangutans r my favorite primate so I love the orange fur and entire look in general of the powder monkeys and their queen.

I wouldnt say no to a more orange colored Wonkey. 

although prime mates also have fur thats less orange and more akin to the color of wonkeys so maybe theres a reasoning behind the different colors of fur.

I kind of like it the way it is. The color seems to be about halfway on the color spectrum between the powder monkeys and the prime mates.

They could definitely do with a bit more body fluff though

I like the fluff maybe he can have his own arm guards and belt? I think that would make him more unique... I like your art!

I love Wonkey's design, I wish the tail were a little more distinct to a monkey though. Right now the tail looks more like Wortox's.

He definitely needs his design to stray from wortox's and go more towards a monkey look. This tail looks so out of place honestly.

Additionally there was also this image showing off they're using the same torso too! 
Some more fluff and maybe a new shade of Orange is all I really want! They'd be perfect then.

He kinda looks like a human in a monkey costume when compared to the powder monkey too, I don't understand why Klei made them so distinct even though they are basically the same creature, hope it's just provisional.

Tail suggestion:

Edit: With the little fluff gone from the end of Wonkey's tail, it makes the light fur on their hands and feet look out of place. I think those could be removed too. Simplicity is key. If it needs more detail, then give them a greyish blue belly and I think they would look good

Wonkey's tail is just like the rest of the powder monkeys. I don't really see why it needs to be changed, it just so happens powder monkeys and wortox both have furry lil ends to tails.

I feel indifferent on the colors of wonkey. its a player character rather than a mob, its like wurt & merms in the sense that its the same sort of thing that feels a little weird initially and then you very quickly get used to while playing. I think its good for there to be some differentiation in how characters look beside the mob they're based off of / are supposed to be.

I just want to point out the portrait has the fluffy tail as well so if the tail ever gets changed the portrait would need a slight revamp as well and that's just even more work for such a little thing. That and i also don't want more inconsistencies with the character portraits more than we already have.. 
Instead of completely removing it. Just change the style of the fluff so it doesn't look like Wortox's.

This is my version of Wonkey. I don't wanna shy too far away from the initial look cause i do generally like how he looks rn.

So... I went ahead and made some alternations to Wonkey's art! I did a few and I'll detail what I changed and why!

First two are Klei's, duh! 

.1: Nothing really changed at all, I just changed their colors to better match the Powder Monkey! I also remove the Wortox tail fluff to better resemble their tails as well.

.2: My favorite. I gave them more arm, chest, and leg fluff! I also detailed their head, and gave them the Powder Monkey's forehead markings. 
I detailed their tail and give it the proper colored tip too! Probably my favorite detail. Oh I also gave them some nostrils. 

.3: Not my favorite, but I did it as a "what if" anyhow. Most Powder Monkey like. Arm wraps and skirt, removed the naked face and exaggerated the forehead coloring. Also gave them a unibrow. 

All in all I LOVE Wonkey, and I wouldn't mind if they stay the same. These were done for fun and aren't an attempt to do a "better job". Just some fun suggestions to make them slightly more unique and fit in with their other fiendish piers!

Add a belly to it.. I think the Monkey would look better with a Grey Belly.. and a cute little odd shaped Belly Button.. that looks like a Black Hole portal with his/her chest fur protruding over its belly like well uhm,

like Er.. this-

Maybe you can even throw in some Abs or something like this??

Just something that looks less like a Groomed Curious George & more like a Wild Monkey/Prime Ape would be nice..

While this looks like an interesting concept. again, the portrait is the main problem when you make large changes.

Wonkey just feels like a temp asset honestly, its an amalgamate of wortox and wilbur, hopefully it isnt considered "final"
Also since we all sharin' some redesigns for Wonkey, I also made one;
I decided to shift away from the wilbur feature copy paste and use the new money's design for the head, couldn't throw away wilburs mouth tho, its perfect imo

We got some nice Wonkey changes, they sort of resemble some of my suggestions. I'm super happy!
