Or how Nunu personality and overall theme is similar to Walter? They both come from the north and have a powerful and fearsome furry friend that is really freindly, I'm sure there more similarity but that all I can think of now. maradyne Posted May 25, 2022 Share Posted May 25, 2022 Always found this entertaining... DST's Forge and League's Star Guardian modes both had their first run at the same time. Both events had lore to them, rather than just being gamemodes out of thin air. Both tossed aside normal gameplay to focus on the singular aspect of Player vs AI, at a level that really hadn't been achieved in either game before. Both operated on a round system, relied more than usual on teams meshing and people being specifically familiar with the mode as opposed to normal gameplay... And both featured revival via standing on top of your teammates, something neither game had done before. Both modes also happen to have been the most fun I've had in either game. ZeRoboButler Posted May 25, 2022 Share Posted May 25, 2022 I find it difficult to think of similarities that have not already been mentioned, but If I can say anything having experienced both communities, events, and overall gameplay and design, it is that I would hope dst remains nothing like league. although the ideas for skins could be amusing, perhaps a reverse walter where he is dressed up like woby and woby is wearing his pinetree hat, that could be amusing as a Halloween skin. A week ago I reported a post which says the S word and it's both still there and unedited so if they don't care about a relatively strong word like that I don't think they really care about swearing too much. I see people say the D and H words frequently with nothing happening. Maybe if you were swearing at people or saying like 30 of them back to back they'd care.
