Are you satisfied with DST currunt spool system?

I like the idea user can craft item with extra item value, it's the one of things I like about DST. But unraveling items is stressful and spools are too little.

If anything, the problem you are having is that the "surprise" of the gift here can often be a letdown because the item itself is often a common item. But you kind of need this to get the excitement of the cool elegant item as well. 

I agree. I just hope if user plays a lot, I think at least there should be worthy rewards.

Yeah, if you're new - just hang in there. We give away a lot of stuff, but it takes a little while to be able to see the larger picture. 

To everybody else. Please be polite, and constructive. Not everybody has been around for a long time and might need a little guidance. Keep being the cool DST community and help people enjoy the game we love. =)

Very true. I have been playing for a long time, and while i have bought many skins, I have randomly got quite a lot of them.

Just play the game and enjoy the game and earn 15 free skins per week.. 7 from daily login and an additional 8 from time played in game.

Also during Holiday events like Hallowed Nights and the upcoming WintersFeast- Enjoy Increased Drop Rates for seasonal or higher rarity skins.

You don't know how good you have it. A lot of games make cosmetics exclusively purchased with real money. If you like the game, you will play it long enough to actually acquire the spools you need to at least get some of your favorite skins.

If youre on the forums or SM now, keep an eye on the redeeming links and stuff around too- theres usually 1-2 a month or so and generally they drop at least the 1/3 (sometimes higher) the cost of a higher spool cost item. Pretty good for just paying attention and doesn't require a dime!

I've never bought anything specifically from DST for the perk of a skin or spools, but I do like collecting them, and I've been able to craft things like character or item skins at a pretty decent rate. Its not that bad and I don't really feel pressured to "try harder" for anything. I haven't had much luck with getting exactly what I want from drops, but hey, they can be tossed to save.

At most a bulk unweaving option might be nice, but the system is good overall and doesn't feel like its trying to squeeze anything outta ya

this game gift skin every new update come. twitch drop . daily login . event limited time login. weeky drops . free spool. free points for skin and more spool . treasure that contain more skin. etc... 


even we can abuse cheap skin on market for gaining more spool 
or sell if u want some steam cash

While I think the current system is pretty fantastic there is a HUUUUUGE difference between pc and console.

On pc you can obtain every and any skin you want in the game via trading or purchasing skins from others (not sure exactly how it works but I get the overall idea) even when they can't be bought through the game store or weaved. There was also whatever happened recently with the latest costume skins allowing pc players to gain thousands and thousands of spool via some exploit.

On console there are a TON of really nice skins that cannot be weaved or purchased and because there's no trading or resale system you can literally only get them from drops. While this can be sort of exciting when you do get one of these from a drop some of (imo at least) the best skins are in this group which can at times be a little frustrating. 

Honestly I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse because we've always got these holy grail skins to hope for one day whereas pc can just obtain whatever they want whenever they want. It can also help with making new friends or creating comraderie when someone who has one of these rare skins offers to enter your world and sweep this skin for you. 

Please no gross pc master race comments insulting me for playing console in the first place thanks. Just wanted to outline that the skin system on console is a completely different beast.

Unraveling pants, skirts - "You're doing it wrong." Common duplicates (or any tradable commons) are best used for trade-inn during winter's feast. I watched a few stream recordings from past years and even if unraveling all the woven skins you get from winter chests, you get ~2.5x more spools than from unraveling the tradable common skins directly.

A straightforward way to unravel woven duplicates would be handy, and currently there's a mod for that.
