Mod thief!

Hello guys , there on Steam one person who is stealing your mods!
His nickname is: dsauliac
I was chatting with him and I can say that he is from Russia ,very little , bully ,big head and was very aggresive.
He said that he won't delete mods , even when I have reported every single one of them with Miss Kiibie.

Moreover he deleted authors comments and he thinks that everything will be fine , but I don't think so.
Let's report his mods and let's make the justice because he will steal more our mods!
Mods original authors : Tykvesh , Miss Kiibie , MrM , Midrealm , Ryuu , Xaben.

You can actually check that user's workshop items, and it really does show the reuploaded mods

Just check date of his mods and originals

Hellooo, I don't mean to witch hunt on anyone, but this user has indeed been stealing other people's mods including mine. I just meant to come in to confirm that, and to ask how I should proceed to report the user? I have reported the mod on their workshop directly from Steam but is there anything else that can be done?

Not everybody has an issue with their mod being reuploaded. This is how Valve recommends these issues to be handled if you don't want your mod changed or reuploaded, make sure you say so on your mod page. This is critical.

It's kind of like if you wrote an essay for a class, then someone saw it and copied it word for word and submitted that under their own name.
You still have your original, but now they've stolen your work.

so sorry that happened to you .. i saw a lot of people reuploading mods  .. thats sad when people dont think about copyright on artwork
that think stealing only count if u lose the stuff stolen completely

Just image that you wrote a book and everything, and someone stole it and claimed it as his own, stealing all the credit for your work, thats basically whats happening here. 

If you cant understand that, then idk what to tell you.

I'm not sure why we're not using common sense here, the word steal doesn't have to literally mean physically taking someone else's thing, it is just easy to call it that for the situation.

People were 'agitated' because it looked like you were trying to dismiss what this person had done, when in reality you just wanted people to use a more accurate definition for... some reason. No, both of these wrong.

It does not look like I was dismissing anything, if so i'd tact on "if it's not stealing, where is the issue" but I never said that.

and I didn't want people to use a more accurate definition at first, I was just asking a simple question, why are you demanding that this is a forum and not a court case? of course it is, I really don't see any of these remarks necessary, also aren't purposeful use of inaccurate or outright wrong definitions defeat the whole point of language?

People can and will take things differently, just because you don't see it like that doesn't mean someone else won't. Doesn't hurt to clarify so there's less confusion.

You probably should have just put everything you wanted to say in one post, would have gotten to your point quicker and so people would understand what you were trying to say right away.

It definitely wasn't purposeful, it's just the first thing that comes to mind in a situation like this. The actual correct word to use here is not all that different to what people were saying. Honestly, as long as you can get the general gist of the situation then I don't see the harm. Yes people know that stealing & plagiarizing are different, but on the surface this situation here is simply that someone took someone else's mod without permission.

Language is much more complex than just using the correct words, people use things like slang all the time to say the same things, just quicker/easier.
