My one dream has come true

Recommended Posts

I don't care if he stay's unplayable forever. I'm just so darn happy to see the character again in anything.

Wagstaff has been my favorite character personality wise since he was added in hamlet, and I love that he's staying as important to the lore as he always was.

(Of course I will be ecstatic if he does become playable, but I wouldn't mind if he doesn't.)

I'm sure klei is well aware that people care about Wagstaff and his importance as a lore element, just a much as they do for him being playable, It almost feels like it would be weird for them not to include him as a playable character. It could be a while though, that's probably the more realistic option, seeing as how we may find other characters getting that rework spotlight over others, I mean heck, we got wes recently. I'm going to sit here with all of my fingers crossed and hope that he does become playable, I will be here... waiting like everyone else...

This confirms it won't happen ever. In the same way granny lobster won't ever be playable.

Having a playable wagstaff would completely ruin the novelty of the NPC gimmick and confuse people as to why this one wagstaff is supposed to be any different from the one your friend next to you is.

If anything this should be horrible news to OP.

Not that I'd be in favor of it but hypothetically they could make it so once you complete his questline he leaves the world as a npc and becomes selectable through the celestial portal but only in the world you completed his questline.

Sure but,  he's in

I think we are close to pulling the real Wagstaff into the constant, or getting a hologram as a new survivor :D

Not really. You already have several copies of survivors and it isn't confusing. You have to also remember, it is a hologram of him and not the real Wagstaff, you could totally bring the real Wagstaff and incorporate in a way that fits with this NPC situation. We also don't know if this NPC will be removed down the road as the story changes and they add new stuff, so to say all hope is lost is a little.. drastic.

Exactly. See, the excuse of him being copied isn't a strong or even valid point. If anything, we're talking about a game with sentient pigs and spiders the size of a human. Him becoming a character eventually would be pretty amazing, but if he doesn't become one, then it's ok. As long as he can get some attention while the iron is hot.

I mean his appearance at all. That he doesn't look like a au Wilson but different facial features. Like this is a disguise to draw one's own guard down.

Turns out it was the biiigfoot all along

That's why he so smart. I mean, biiigfoot is big brain, have you seen that temple?
