Less expensive Clean Sweeper

The clean sweeper is a ridiculously expensive item, costing 3 living logs and 6 dark petals. The clean sweeper is a nice item and all, but it is not worth that cost, being a purely QoL item that has no real use for gameplay apart from aesthetic. Sure, it has a pretty good chance to drop from a totally normal tree, but what if you don't get one from any of the trees you chop? now you have to spend 3 whole living logs for an item that is purely aesthetic. I think that a clean sweeper should only cost some twigs rather than three whole living logs. That would make this purely aesthetic item much less of a hindrance to craft and it would make it much more viable.

Honestly I'm fine with the 3 living logs requirement, its the 6 dark petals that annoy me.

The totally normal tree gives 2 living logs, +1 if you use a shovel, getting you to a cool 3. Usually there's enough evil flowers planted around it to be enough to craft the sweeper right then and there. If not, charting where some are/tumbleweeds before starting to pick them can usually solve the problem.

Never been sure why people say living logs are expensive. It's quite easy to be completely overflowing with them, even in regular play, but especially if you have a Woodie or a masochistic Wormwood (Or a Wormwood with access to the celestial portal and a good amount of moonrocks, or a Wormwood and a soul-stuffed Wortox, but you get the idea)

 

With that point being made, I actually can get some reason why it's not a super easy-to-obtain-item craft, because everyone running into your base and swip-swapping all your buildings around (Like, say, if you're some kind of decorator that likes to decorate on pubs) would probably get annoying if you want the place to look a specific way. That, and, I mean, you'll only ever need one. Or, hey, maybe I just have no idea what I'm talking about at all. That could also be it.

It's not expensive at all if you consider the following :

1. It's infinite

2. Totally Trees have a 25% to drop a pre-built one

3. There's always dark flowers around said totally trees. Or look for various setpieces.

Never happen to me to get a sweeper form Totally Normal Tree... But it wasn't a problem to get some living logs anyway.

remember that in the grotto you can farm enough living logs for it every day without rgn mechanics

I get that you can get all the ingredients for a sweeper from one totally normal tree, but the thing is that those ingredients would be much better spent on something else.

then don't craft a sweeper seeing as how it has no tangible use for survival.

what are you going to do with dark petals though?

So uhm there’s this new biome called the Lunar Grotto, you can go there and smack around some weak Mushgnomes to get all the living logs you will ever need.

As for Dark Petals.. I don’t really know how to get those- but if your a dead ghost, haunting flowers has a chance to turn them into evil flower.

I wish that there was an easier way.. like if someone who had a constant ghost follower could command her ghostly companion to maybe Haunt flowers to turn them evil... but hey you know, only other thing I can think of is maybe they’ll be more common in a future update/biome.
