Okay so it appears after 6 harvests from a Mushroom planter the “goopy” stuff under the log dries up, and you are correct, they DO need 1 living log to gain back that goopy state.

However- They don’t all enter non-goopy state during Winter, they only enter this state after 6 harvests from the same planter, which explains why I was able to go through two winters without noticing it because I was harvesting from various different planters.

Living Logs aren’t that terribly hard to obtain though, in fact I often burn them in a normal campfire just because I like that bizarre scream the logs make when burned.

Wormwood can easily refuel these planters and has perks dedicated toward making them yield better results (& also moonshrooms) so anytime I play Wormwood I’ll be using these from now on in public games.

Theres a lot of ways to get living logs now that don’t even need Wormwood too though, one of the newest methods is to craft Woodies Tree Idols to force treeguard spawns. 
Only Woodie can craft the idols, but anyone can burn them once he crafts them, and they never spoil.. making them pretty darn excellent!

You can. Just teleport them away using telelocator staff & focus, they'll be turned into statues when the event ends and stay where they are

Its probably egg glands since we have venom glands in SW and Hamlet

a quick tip: red mushrooms are ideal for a wormwood, each one is 12.5 hunger and 5 (minus one for the replant) is a full days worth of hunger more or less. it only takes a few dedicated planters to keep one wormwood fully fed indefinitely so long as he provides living logs occasionally.

Does Klei Entertainment or any of the Animation artists who work at Klei have any involvement in a game called “Ship of Fools”?

I stumbled upon this game today while searching Xbox Live for some new Roguelites to add to my gaming library and the trailer for this game shares similar artsyles and humor to what we’ve seen with DSTs animated shorts.

It could just be a coincidence, but either way the game caught my attention with the DST like trailer.

Are Brightshades SUPPOSED to spawn on Pearls Island? I’m trying to do all of pearls Befriendment quests but as soon as I plant the 8 Berry bushes she needs Brightshades spawn from them!

This is likely an oversight but if rifts are available in world Gen settings, perhaps Brightshades shouldn’t troll her Island?

No, its not supposed to spawn, but since bright shades target player placed groups of plants, pearl is just the right environment to be infested.  generally, happens when your home placed plants are already infested and they just immediately pounce on the newly placed group of plants, as they can't spawn near other herds of bright shades.

Why does wormwood have a skill tree perk so that plants & bees will tolerate him, but bees won’t attack Wormwood by default without this perk… is this a bug??

It prevents Wasp Hives from activating near Wormwood, and angry bees when picking honey from beeboxes.

AFAIK yes, they just have a timer ticking until they replant themselves. Webber shouldn't affect them, specially since he doesn't have any perks related to them, besides nurse spiders
