Szczuku
Since Webber has those head legs I figured that a decent perk would be to alow him to hold 2 items in the hand slot at the same time. For example he'd be able to hold an axe and a lantern at the same time and be able to chop down trees without having to put the lantern down. Animation-wise one item would be held in his hand and the other one would be held by one of his head legs

FreyaMaluk
This idea only works in a PC gameplay context. As far as I know, console players cannot hold extra items.
Hornete
I don't think this will work because of a few problems. The way hand equips work in animations is their sprites replace an invisible "swap_object" sprite in all player animations and thus they show up. Klei would have to make another invisible symbol like this and go and reanimate everything to put this invisible symbol on the player which is just no feasibly possibly. I've also done coding for a mod that does something somewhat similar, a handheld container that let's you equip items in the container and quickly switch between items in the container, it was.... very messy to code and I think Klei would have to restructure a lot of the way the equippable and action code works. Technical jargon out of the way, it's a neat and cool idea, but I think I'd rather Webbers rework focus on his spiders and what not.

QuartzBeam
Why do all that stuff when you can instead give him the ability to wear additional pairs of hand skins on his "head legs"? It certainly would add some use to all the gloves I keep getting when I log in.

All I get are shoes. no, do the opposite of what you said, we need shoes on his hands, they aren't hands after all, they're legs! He's all legs! wons
i was thinking about similiar idea, but i think he should have a "haste chopping mechanic" it would similiar to wilbur's running ability webber would start with let's say -25% slower chopping by default but when he starts chopping (also would work for minning rocks) for long enough time to a point he chops 150% faster than default character but his hunger modifier changes from 1.0 to 2.5 and the tool he is using gets broken kinda faster, i think it would fix webber's problem that he can ally mobs that can chops fast
