Mike23Ua Posted March 15, 2020 Share Posted March 15, 2020 I can’t draw, so instead I will just say that Wendy has always been my main, and I have always felt like she needed more interaction with both her sister and graveyards. This was not based entirely off my own wants and desires for Wendy- When I suggest any character refresh material the absolute most important #1 Thing I alway look at FIRST is the Already existing Klei Official Game artwork and Vignettes for these characters, I pay close attention to the scenery they are placed in, what they are holding, etc... And Wendy can be Summarized from her existing Klei Official arts as Spooky little almost “The Grudge” Style girl who isn’t afraid of thoughts of death, and can commune with the Deceased. She has a Grudge hairstyle choice... & She is often seen sitting on top of Tombstones and taking casual strolls through the creepiest of places. When Maxwell shows displays of his Shadow monsters in the campfire at one of the old Hallowed Nights while everyone else is cowering in fear Wendy looks highly unamused and unbothered by it. So for any and all future character Refreshs I strongly encourage everyone to first consider the already existing art of said character and base any suggestions you may have off of that. Not all ideas will be included into the game of course, but the best starting point is to look at already existing Klei work. I don’t expect a ton of lore out of Wendy’s animated short, but as a Wendy main mainly what I care about isn’t a 2 minute video I’ll likely forget a few days after watching- it’s the GAMEPLAY. And I’m really curious about Wendy’s new skins, her Belongings set (if she gets one) her interactions with the new Pipspook mobs and most importantly exactly what is ”Ectoherbology” and how does it work. Sounds like she'll get quests from interacting with Pipspooks. Like placing a garland upon their request or preparing food if they mentioned being hungry. Sortof like the Carrat/Varg/Gobbler shrine where you have to guess what it wants through the look and examinations. And ectoherbology would just be a fancy word for "study of ectoplasm and herbs", referencing the usage of Mourning Glories and Abigail as a ghost. Idk but I'm thinking potions or enchanted flowers. Potions because Wendy will extract stuff from said Mourning Glories and Enchanted flowers because Wendy will buff Abigail's flower through using Mourning Glories. Flip Face Posted March 16, 2020 Share Posted March 16, 2020 I already imagined that the reworked Wendy would receive a skin with pink circles under her eyes, wear a black dress with pink and yellow flowers, and with a hairstyle like their mother's hair (whatever it is) or maybe wearing some family brooch. Your description would be: "Abigail, am I not looking like mommy? But as I don't know what clothes women wore at that time and its hard to believe that they would wear the dress I described above (I guess), so I abandoned the idea. But I would love a very flowery skin for Wendy.
