Right, we all know that Multi-player won't happen. Some are sad, but to be honest, would Multiplayer really fit? I mean, when an evil demon takes over your radio and tricks you into making a portal to your own doom, can you just send a telegram (or as you young rapscallions call it, a text) to your friend, and ask them to join you. No.So for you Multi-player desirers, here's what you do.1 - You all get each others e-mails.2 - You all assign each other a number.3 - Player One, creates a world. He plays for (let's call it 5) 5 Days.4 - He gets the save file and sends it to Player Two, who imports it in.5 - Player Two plays 5 Days and sends it to Player Three etc.6 - That way, you all play. OTHER POINTS TO IMPROVE EXPERIENCE- You could also get some screen-sharing software (or make a Twitch account for example), so the others can watch and advise you, while you play your 5 Days, and the others don't feel bored while they wait for your turn to end.- If you die, you can send the next player the game file, as you recieved it, and see if they can survive those 5 Days. - You could of course ignore that last rule, and say if you die, you all die. Perhaps the player on who's turn died, would have to sit out their first turn on your next go.NOW EVERYONE. SHUT UP ABOUT MULTIPLAYER! :)

What I would like about multiplayer is more the cooperative efforts of two people in one world. "I'll build an awesome base and some farm plots while you go collect meat and berries and then we'll have enough food for winter" sort of thing. Playing the same game file every few days doesn't seem like it would be any fun at all. Though, trying to pick up where someone else left off may present some interesting challenges, so I guess it could be neat.

It's the only way, besides someone spending months on a mod. It wouldn't be great, but it is the only way. And someone might do something really stupid, and you have to figure out what to do. It could be alright.

Game doesn't fit Multiplayer. You really needn't have bothered making an account, just to say that.

I think this is a fantastic idea, and people should stop trying to turn this into a discussion about something else. I'd be totally in to try it. I would hate to be the poor sap that has to play the 5 last days of winter with deerclops...

Haha, calm down man. You can't just make someone swallow anything that doesn't get even close to what they want and expect it to end the story. That's not how it works.Nevertheless, the idea is cool. Not a real multiplayer, of course. More of a singleplayer sharing the video-game control, but still fun.Myself, I'm just waiting until someone capable finally create the multiplayer-mod. I really believe that this is just a matter of time

No, think about it. When trapped on a evil island, by a demon, can you call a mate to come help? No. See my point?

Being honest right now, having two people spawned on an island by a demon sounds just as plausible as being spawned alone on an island by a demon.

the game not "fitting" with multiplayer, is actually the developers opinion too.http://forums.kleientertainment.com/showthread.php?4406-Multiplayer

NOT EVERY GAME NEEDS MULTIPLAYER. Get over it. You want to play Farmville and indirectly work together, then go play it. You want to play WoW and directly assist other players, then play that, but stop trying to add multiplayer to games where it has no business being. This game is about survival and despair as you realize that your goal is ultimately futile, and that tone would be undercut completely by the inclusion of multiplayer. Situations aren't near as tense with a group of people working together for survival. I sincerely hope that the dev team maintains their focus and doesn't waste money on this unnecessary feature.

Are you comparing good multiplayer games to WoW and farmvile? Ahahaha are you serious. Also it's not true that survival situations with more than one person are necessarily less tense. Putting your life in their hands and trusting them to do stuff in order to survive can be very tense too.
