Mutineer
IN real life Photosystesys absorbing heat. Surprised? IN more trivial examples: Dissolving ammonium chloride in water Dissolving together Barium hydroxide and ammonium chloride And BTW, removing energy example - electrolysis. Electrolysis in real-life removes electrical energy when creating Oxygen and Hydrogen. Does not remove heat, but energy. Maxposting
I personally just use cool slosh geyser for my electrolyzer setup, it's pretty much ok for cooling oxygen and bonus points if the geyser is on top of the machine since the water will flow down and you can just instantly cool down oxygen with no hussle Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/109943-with-the-current-release-are-there-still-ways-to-destroy-heat/page/3/#findComment-1239252 Share on other sites

Heat energy is cheaper than electricity IRL, so the best bang for the buck is to run electrolysis at high temperatures. Cold electrolysis is just as effective, it simply uses more electricity. Iluinrandir
I am wondering why nobody mentioned algae terraria as a way to delete/generate heat the generated PH2O is still a fixed temperature output. This thing cools down 95°C H2O to 55°C PH2O. By Running the generated PH2O as cooling through the algae H2O. The water the algae absorbs is around 65°C so building them out of clay is required. The doors a setup so that dupes can only enter if the water lvl is down and can only exit one way. Supplying of algae can be performed by dupes fromn above. Can supply around 11 dups if you ration O2 exposure (the game is called oxygen not included so why does everybody saturate their bases with oxygen?) and is water neutral if you use two bathroom brakes per cycle. Can probably be combined with a PH20 offgasing algae station and around 60 Pufts to generate the required algae to feed 22 algae terarria (has anyhone tried the infinisun with pufts? The extra PH20 from the Distiller should be more than enough to drop the amounts of required morbs to a managable level (1 Morb per Puft).) 0xFADE
Lag management is the real end game. No longer are you dealing with the game mechanics but the time dilation and interaction between real life and the game. SamLogan
Why destroy heat, when you just have to use Steam Turbine / AT everywhere : O2 cooling, Metal refinery, generators cooling, vent & geyser cooling, etc. We really need more options to cool, it's so boring without the old heat deletion solution. TLW
What I've been doing lately is taking my main water line and doubling it back on itself through the water reservoir and priority-looped. I then use it as a heat sump. This allows me to punt the things that used to require early-game cooling (notably electrolyser). The first steam turbine I get up and running then is used with an aquatuner to cool down the main water tank (as usually by this time it's getting a bit toasty). I'm really not a fan of the heat changes as-is. All it's done for me is replace a lot of different builds with... steam turbine + aquatuner. (There are some rare cases where I can get away with just an aquatuner (mainly mass deletion).)
