Geeris
During my last run through the ruins, I noticed that the color of the light emitted by the lantern skin varies according to the nightmare cycle. I'm not sure if a post about that has already been created, but I found it interesting to share.
minespatch
Seems like that adds more to the skin than just to look different.
Primalflower
As cool as this is, I'm not sure that this was specifically implemented to that skin lantern. Doesn't the regular lantern do that too?
Sinister_Fang
The effect that makes all the red glowy bits in the ruins applies to anything that's red and some shades of purple. This can be seen in a few other skins, as well as on depth worms. So it's not an effect specific to the tesla coil lantern itself.
seyfitoplar
The everything contain red warns you about the phase. I mostly use Red Gloves as a skin.
Maxposting
It is generally a feature that implies to the Gladiator Head skins ( red color glows ) and currently to this cool Lantern. But It seems it could be just a nod that the fuel has something to do with electrical things.

I am having trouble recalling a time in which They or the Ancients used electricity, please elaborate?

The other lanterns don't have color variation during the Cycle. @Sinister_Fang, @seyfitoplar, @__IvoCZE__ Thanks for the tips and explanations! Terra B Welch
Also see the Tam o' Shanter and the Whispering Grand Armor skin for the Thulecite Suit. They have glowy bits too during the nightmare cycle.

But what caught my attention was the intensity of the change caused by nightmare cycles in the Tesla's lantern.
