TheTraditionalGentleman
I'm trying to compile a list of monster characters to play as in DST (mods of course). I know about Wilton, and varying versions of Wortox, but are there any other good ones that anyone can think of? I remember regular DS having some kind of zombie butler, but I"m not sure if there's a DST version of it. Mikeadatrix
I know there was "Head' the bodyless horsemen. Also Waverly, I'm sure she was ported to DST. Dunno about Head however. Arlesienne
Modded, eh? I find Wodnik, Mahd and Wyvard nice. At Drazon if you are a xenophobe against orcs. There are many, but those three, I can recommend (not OP, interesting, good art, style fits). spiderdian
If you're looking for some noice aberrations to play with, I'd recommend you to try some of the uncountable badly made furry characters in the workshop XD Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/69660-monstrous-mod-characters/#findComment-805066 Share on other sites

Hey, is that a trick question ? Not a trick question XD I realized that it would be fun to play as something like a classic Lord of the Rings orc. As a "survivor" you already drain your environment of all of its resources, leaving it looking like it just got done being hit by some kind of crop-withering, animal-slaying plague, so why not just be an orc and go all the way? And a positive orc civilization, eh? Let the orcish propaganda begin Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/69660-monstrous-mod-characters/#findComment-805260 Share on other sites

Tolkien's orcs are an artificial race (so they are not born, but harvested) - a message against the supremacist ideologies of Tolkien's time - so one does not become an Uruk. One is harvested as an Uruk (*cough* twisted elves *cough*). 2. Drazon is very nicely done, then there is Grog the Goblin, a mod which I have not tried out yet, if you want orcish characters. And if it just fantasy types - wizards, fighters and the-like - shoot me a note. I have links to possibly all on the workshop (collected them for my roleplaying servers). 3. If you can't wrap your head round orcish railway, I am at your command to rectify that :). To add to the thread: Geralt from "The Witcher". I would have added Gollum as a marvellous mod, but I cannot being myself to call my preciousss "monstrous". TheTraditionalGentleman
So far the mods that I've collected are the Wilton, Wortox (prince), Watcher, and Womp. 2 hours ago, AlternateMew said: Come, now. Although the merms in it wouldn't be too bad I suppose. Just not exactly what I'm looking for. 3 hours ago, Arlesienne said: A few corrections if you will ;): 1. I guess any fantasy types would work (for a different server I want to put together). As for point 3., by all means, please go on. And honestly, Gollum is one of my favorite mods. If I could get a goblin mod, orc mod, and a gollum mod, I'd be all set I will say though, one problem that I keep running into with character mods is that they are all so dang fast! Too fast. Honestly, unless there is a good explanation as to why they get to move faster, I won't play as them. It just feels too much like cheating. Same when their lowest stat is something like 200. I actually created a collection for mods one can use in a quasi-RPG setting. You're getting, among other things, Gollum, two goblins, Drazon (a Pathfinder half-orc) and a Warcraft orc. Oh, and Shrek if you need ogres. Still no Fiona or the ogrelings I'm aware of. 13 hours ago, TheTraditionalGentleman said: I have the playable pets mod, but I'm aiming more for sentient monsters. Pigmen of all kinds, of course (say, werepigs, guardian pigs...). 13 hours ago, TheTraditionalGentleman said: Consider me corrected As for point 3., by all means, please go on.
