BadlyBurned Posted June 15, 2018 Share Posted June 15, 2018 I think you need to Prince penned with a normal Puft to increase the chances of getting one of those special breeds. Not sure the exact numbers, but each cycle my Prince was penned up increased the % of dense pufts, etc Tip: To get one together early in the game, find a Puft that has a low age in the wild. Keep your eye on your egg overlay to see with a Prince drops (which is pretty much all they drop if not penned together).. quickly incubate that sucker and stick him with the low aged Puft. You should now start getting fancy eggs much much sooner than expected. puft prince produces a lot LESS slime than normal pufts I did not know that. Am I wrong about the fancy breed chances? As long as the chamber they are in has a door attached, they can be called to a ranching station by a rancher from a really far way away if you leave the door to your Stable open. I had a Puft the other game travel at least 50 tiles to swim right into my Stable where my rancher was waiting. Shut the door soon after and VOILA!! It does have its limit, but its not the 96 tile limit of a stable. The space this Puft was in was way bigger than 96 tiles. Maybe 300 minimum. Example: Puft in Stable.. next door is a chamber into the swamp about 300 large with a Puft hanging out. Open the door, my rancher calls, and the Puft zooms across the map to enter the stable for a sweet grooming. Shut door. The prince will live quite awhile with nothing to eat. You need two stables: one for prince to make puft eggs, other for productive pufts that make slime. Don't mix slime pufts and princes - you'll get gimmick pufts that produce neither useful materials nor useful puft eggs. If you mix them up like a noob caught in the noob trap, you will need to micro the stables to ensure proper population, and will get the garbage morphs which don't make slime and have a low chance of making proper pufts. When penned with a prince, pufts get only like 10% chance of making proper pufts. avc15 Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 it's fine, your first pen needs to be all princes and nothing else. Their offspring will be mostly pufts. Your second pen should be nothing but pufts, but you only need like 2 of them (just enough to keep your stable for princes full - that's like 6 princes). Their offspring will be all princes. This is what you need if you are processing PO2 into slime: one pen for breeding princes, contains only regular pufts. Another pen for breeding pufts, contains only princes. Now, build a 3rd room that you don't feel bad about massively overcrowding. Hatch all your extra puft eggs in there, let them be glum. Each prince in your breeding pen maintains a population of about 12 glum pufts in your feeding room, equivalent to ~2.4 happy pufts in a tended stable. Same slime processing power, less than a third of the dupe labor. Now they are all I got all wild pufts start with a 99% chance to lay a prince egg and usually die before they hatch so you'll notice all wild pufts become prince after a few dozen cycles Don't worry there will be a variety of pufts once the wild princes start laying eggs.
