bzgzd
I am really curious how this video will end in "after update" version: https://youtu.be/sen1Wd4ZI_8 --- Edit: With thermal upgrade, more or less the same: https://youtu.be/1Qk0hOC_8Rg --- Edit2: Hot Fix solved it: https://youtu.be/p0d5cArMLso
PickPay
Wow didn't realise it was that bad... Let's all pray my fellow asteroid colonisers ! How about with a pump ?
Vilda
Oh yeah, the magical stairs. Wanted to test that one too after update.
Saturnus
I want to test if water still disappears completely if you have a drop of 20 tiles or more. As it is now (disclaimer: haven't actually tested with the existing version but before last update) you can pump water into a pipe, have a vent 20 tiles above and no water ever hits the ground. Not even grams.
Saturnus
I also want to test if dead dupes still spawn morbs. Actually, that is the very first thing I'll test.
tehMugwump
Clearly some evaporation going on, haha...
NFFly
also noticed that in my last base where i lost 10 huge contaminated water pools when i dug out all the slime areas, let it all drain to the bottom and there was barely nothing there! 1 hour ago, Saturnus said: I want to test if water still disappears completely if you have a drop of 20 tiles or more. Do not know if it's the stairs fault or the high drops.
birdyork
The stairs are thirsty and want to drink too you know. On another note, that is how you make people disappear. Just roll them down the stairs, and poof, they are gone!
Nativel
We have to test what will happen with clay too, remember?
BigBluFrog
Wow. I knew water was lossy, but I never realized it was this bad.

If I were to break the wall of the tank and let it fall, that's a different story. In my experience if you drop water straight down, as in dig from underneath, there's not too much lost. So sad to see for developers that their hard work need more thinking... in the other hand... We, users just get fortunate from this. Game will be better. Keep it guys! Saturnus
A shame. With the extreme amount of excess water we have to destroy in this build the loss of water running down stairs was actually a very welcome solution.
