its actually the friend-o-matic portal. I believe it originally was intended for joining friends servers? @nome Would that be right?

A while back, but I don't think it's properly implemented (yet).

The Friend-O-Matic portal (migration_portal prefab) exists since caves were in beta (they were introduced with the sinkholes).

So they must be like a year old by now.

You can manually configure them to act like sinkholes and thus act like bridges between shards.

I think that the friend-O-matic had a different aspect,atleast i don't remember that tree next to it,and even less that weird eye.

Also i think it was made of stone and not wood,the shape and everything do look similar to what i remember.

Or did they just update its aspect,if thats the case then that means that it may be added on a future and that its not a abandoned feature.

What server did you encounter this one on please? @Joachim uses friendos in Multi-Worlds DST. I would be glad to hear where you found the friendo (also, if MW ran during that time).
