Few Ideas for New Reign Content or future.

Hello Starvers,

I've been meaning to share with you some ideas for the game but i never actually did, so here it is. Finally.
The New Reign as been a great experience so far, with all the new cool features that were add, the amazing Toadstool fight, the great Lamps, all the things you can finally share with mats you didnt use otherwise. Overall have been great. Can't wait for all of this new Full Moon Stuff!

But still, i'm always afraid of the day Klei will stop bringing us New Content. I feel if the game would have a patch like this every month it would conqueror a lot more audience again. (This is a noob speaking who doesn't know how hard it is to actually code new stuff)

With this in mind, here just two of some ideas that i think it would be interesting

Let's start with,

  • Alchemy Lab!!

I mean aren't the Wilson's always proud to say they are Alchemists ? Haven't we always saw him mixing potions in clips ? Were the hell are they ?
Why not give us a Alchemy Lab for us to make our potions ?This also would keep the players interested in almost every creature and item in the game. Ideas of Potions:

- Health Potion -
More Potent then Healing Salves, Dragon Fruit Pies, etc. Characters like Full Wolfgang, WX have huge health pools, why not make them a potion, that costs a lot more and is harder to craft but will give them like 70% of their health back ? - Throw in some of the unusable Spider Queen Helm on the crafting mix.
- Warming Potion - We have the sweet Luxury Fans for summer am i right ? Why not a potion who can warm our body when we start freezing ? Make us that beefalo wool or Horn, maybe some Slurpee pelt or that small fur of Bearger.
- Dry Potion - Simple, potion that takes out wetness instantly without the need of waiting by the fire. Make it cost loads of cactus, maybe some flowers (so you can only make them in the summer), some milk (goat side), and some other desert item.
- Speed Potion - No, I'm not saying the unlimited coffee power, but a potion that can boost your speed for a few seconds, mostly like a nitro activation. Makes us use to damn speedy Geckos or Monkeys. Make it the blueprint for it hard to drop like Krampus sack, and mats harder then other potions so it's hard to stack them. Maybe even throw in a cooldown of 1 day for you to drink another and have the effect.
- Night-vision Potion - Just an idea to replace the helm. Make it last a day, costing us some glow berries, moggles and some Caves/Ruins flowers/Veggies
- Disease Cure - To cure the disease in affected  farms. Makes us use healing salves, some farm specific veggies and some resources (grass, twigs, berries)

This are few ideas, i'm sure Develop team would come up with much better ones, or even the community. Just wanted to give some ideas to support the Alchemy Lab.

  • Stone Tree Guards

With the Addition of this type of tree, why not have their one guardian as-well ? Make it even have their own loot and abilities (Rock Throwing if you are in range, petrify the player for few seconds if it gets melee hit).

- Living Stone - New Loot Drop
- Magic Stone Helmet - Same Armor Value as Football Helm but slows the target that hits you (Living Stone + Blue Gem + Nightmare Fuel)

Always found it weird how Wilson lacked his own character build specify item ;-; 

I would love to see if we can build better rooms x3 would love a gate o.o like a castle gate and new crops and biomes 

I'd love to see Wilson get a perk of sorts in the future, instead of just being the man with the beard, because that isn't just a character specific thing, Webber also grows a beard.

Also, WILSON IS A SCIENTIST, HE DOESN'T KNOW JACK SQUAT ABOUT SCIENCE AT THE START, YET WICKER KNOWS EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING!!!

GAAAH, WHAT'S MORE SCIENTIFIC THAN A SCIENTIST?! DOES WICKERBOTTOM READ ALL THE BOOKS IN HER LIBRARY?! AAAAAAAA!!!

It's kinda funny how quickly this tread turned into a "give Wilson a buff" thread. Wilson is a nice character without any cons. He's a character that's a jack of all trades and master of none (except maybe winter survival I guess). And that's how it should be. He's a very beginner friendly character and even when you've gotten more experienced he's still useful with his easy access to beard hair.

Anyway, I don't think we should continue to derail this thread. This thread isn't about Wilson. It's about potions and petrified tree guards.

I believe that potions are reserved for the witch character Waverly as a special craft tab like for example Wickerbottoms books. I would also like it to be this way instead of having potions available for every character. As we know every character brings something to the table: wicker supplies books to Maxwell and has the ability to overcharge Wx78, Wigfrid supplies the team with armor, Woodie does the wood duty although Maxwell isn't bad at this role either, Wendy and Webber are very effective when it comes to farming spider loot, Wes can stay insane by using his balloons, etc. So Waverly should fulfill the role of supplying the team with potions and her play style would be that she's off hunting the ingredients she needs to mix the potions in her cauldron.

Seeing that Klei did come back to old characters like Webber,Wilbur and Wigfrid who is a altered version of Winnie, there's hope that we might get Waverly in the future.

Wilson is a gentleman scientist. Also known as an independent scientist. In other words, he has no education whatsoever. Also he's the only character in the game with only good perks and no downsides. His beard came first and it's beautiful. Also to be fair we never get any evidence of Wilson being any smarter than anyone else. He listens to a talking radio and traps himself. Not to smart.....
