Xedlord
I keep putting limpets and fish in the crockpot and getting fists full of jam and wet goop!!! Developer ImDaMisterL Posted February 15, 2016 Developer Share Posted February 15, 2016 Well, the meat values have been altered, I guess this might have something to do with that. I don't think it's a bug. (Though I barely play Shipwrecked, so how could I know?) AnonymousKoala
Yeah its not a bug. Limpets's value was changed. So no more Limpet Surf 'N' Turf and ez fish limpet recipes. To put it simply, limpets now have basically nothing good to be done with them pretty much. isolanni
I just discovered Shipwrecked a few days ago. Terrific. But I can't figure out the recipes. Totally random results, like 4 crab = wet goop (!). I' ve tried so many combos and only about one in 6 even gives me meatballs. The rest are goop or jam and occasionally, Jambalaya (? not sure that's the name - a wide dish with lots of different colored small bits that only nets about 37 in hunger). There doesn't seem to be the same relationship in recipes as in DS. ie, 1 meat (any meat, even Monster) + 3 fillers = approx 60 hunger. Limpets are unclear: good if cooked over campfire, but are they the spoiler in my crockpot, even though I precook them all? And what's up with seaweed? Is it another spoiler? I thought it would act like carrots, but I'm so confused. I keep turning 4 good foods into fertilizer. Help! Hugeisno1
2 limpets and 2 seaweed. Cheapest seafood recipe for quite decent returns. Otherwise you use seaweed like any vegetable. rezecib
@isolanni If you get tired of trying to figure them out, I updated the crockpot simulator for Shipwrecked here. But basically a lot of the fish-type ingredients are only worth 0.5 fish, which makes it hard to get recipes without some serious assistance from other ingredients. By jambalaya I'm guessing you mean gumbo, which requires more than 2 fish value (4 crabs = 2 fish, you need a little more). I noticed while testing this out in the simulator that it wasn't properly displaying fractional fish values... Fixed! As for what to actually try to make, california rolls are a decent staple, 2 of any fish and 2 seaweed, bisque is good for healing, 3 limpets 1 ice, and meatballs are still the cheapest hunger, any meat and three ice or whatever. Later on you can graduate to bacon and eggs, honey, or dragon pies, as you prefer. Machine Reaper
just have some purple meat and Ice baby ICE! you'll never get hungry again, also crabs are too easy too kill (a certain technique you will learn) and don't require to be cooked to eat.. They are still a valid Fishpart for easy Fishsticks what i use quite a lot because i always have a surplus of Monstermeat so using Limpets to make FIshsticks is the best thing. Although i think you can also use them for California Rolls haven't tested it myself but with the recent buff thet recipe got a lot better. Otherwise you use seaweed like any vegetable. Yeah, exactly. California rolls -best rolls. Limpets have meat value:0 but fish vallue:0,5. So they won't work with any recipes that requires meat: meatballs especially. There is one important thing with crabs: raw crab meat has fish value: 0,5 and meat:0 but cooked one turns into "cooked fish" which has meat and fish value: 0,5 and 0,5. So if you running out of meat and all you have left are those poor cute crabs - cook them first, then put them into crock pot. lordbebech
Okay i was totally wrong about this! Today i realised that there is really similar with symbol pictures but two different type of foods: fish morsel and cooked fish. The first one you can get from crab and has no meat value and the second one has 0,5. So no meat balls from crabs...at least there are good fillers, also you can get them dried and easy get tons of small jerkies. Three Traps do the great job with supplying pre-meat Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/64359-bug-messed-up-crockpot-recipes/#findComment-723474 Share on other sites
dearmad
Meatballs from crab? Dry them on rack first. Easy. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/64359-bug-messed-up-crockpot-recipes/#findComment-724161 Share on other sites
