The ship continues to be battered by the waves, giving the entire deck a much-needed cleaning and making the crew seasick..  Meritursas is also pummeled by the walls of water, and though his transparent secondary eyelids block out the salty water, he is clearly displeased.

"this storm...is very strong."  He speaks, his voice loud enough to drown out the wind.  "perhaps...we should find somewhere to...set down."

(I vote the crab!)

Famen assisted Trevor patching the hole in the side of the ship. "That would be nice!" Famen called out to Meritursas.

The dragon hesitantly lifts her wing enough for Viridis to see the injury. There's still a good portion of flesh missing, but it has definitely improved with new, pink flesh peeking out from under the slower growing scales. It doesn't seem to be showing any sign of infection so far, though with it getting so wet lately it should be watched for.

A large wave sends water rushing across the deck, and when it recedes Viridis finds Kate's purple blanket wrapped around her leg, thoroughly soaked.

Kate staggerers over to the crate Noctimus was thrown in. She heard he was in pain and wanted to comfort him, but she had gotten quite soaked from the water that splashed in, and she knew water hurt the pup. She sat down against the side of the crate and pulled her legs up to her chest. If the storm hadn't been frightening before, it certainly was now.

Kade sat down beside his sister and put an arm around her shoulder to comfort her. "Don't worry. I'm pretty sure Meritursas has a good grip on the boat. We'll be fine." She briefly glanced up at him, as if to ask him to promise. He sighed."I promise." And then immediately something terrible happens and they aren't fine.

(Shouldn't the salt water disinfect it, though?)

Meritursas is not as confident in his abilities as Kade is, however.  He can sense the boards of the ship shaking and straining; the vessel feels like it's about to rip itself apart.

"Famen, I require a solution or an answer."

"You're welcome Wheke!"

Trevor walked over to Wiffleball to find him lying on the floor, and soaking wet.

"Need some help there little buddy?" he asks, crouching down next to him. This both makes Trevor closer to Wiffleball, and helps him stand during the violent rocking of the ship.

Since he couldn't stop himself, Wiffleball tumbled comically around the hold as the ship rocked back and forth. As Trevor was speaking, a particularly bad jolt sent the plush into the air, causing him to hit the floor with a wet smack.

"PLƎAƧE."

Trevor picks up Wiffleball. "Now, this might hurt, but it's the only way we're getting you back on your feet." he says before wringing him out into the crate he stripped the boards from. Luckily, Noctimus wasn't inside that one. Instead he was inside a different crate, where he was laying comfortably in a pile of grass.

The crab started scratching its eyes, trying to get the cockroaches out. It kept scratching and scratching until...

*Pop*

One of its eye stalks fell out. Oh crud. The crab held one claw over its eye and tried picking up the eye stalk, just to cut it in half. Crab wondered if Kate still had an eyepatch. It scuttled over to her, and waved for her attention, pointing at it's missing eye.

"...!!" Viridis was surprised by the sudden wave. "That... is some cold... water..." she shook her head to try to get the water out of her eyes. When done, she looked back at the dragon to see the wound. "Curious... I have never seen... regeneration on a dragon before. It goes... better, I see?"

She noticed something wrapped around her leg. It was a purple blanket of sorts. "Huh... I do not remember... having a blanket with me." She picked it up with her hand and inspected it.

It was just a normal blanket, with short, soft strings coating one side making it feel kind of like cat's fur. Well, it would anyway if it wasn't wet.

~~~~~~~~
Her already bad vision combined with the near complete darkness in the cargo hold made it so Kate just barely noticed that the crab was there at all, let alone that it had an eyestalk missing. Eyes widening, she put her arms defensively around the crate getting ready to kick the evil crab away if it came any closer. She wasn't going to let it torture her puppy while she was around, no sir!
The crab could see that she was still wearing her pirate hat and the eyepatch. She had apparently forgotten that she had them on in the first place.
Meritursas nears the shores of the island, and swims as fast as he can to reach it before the ship gets damaged beyond repair.  He makes it just in time, and pushes the ship as far onto the beach as he can.  He flops down onto the sand, exhausted; then wraps himself around the boat to protect it from any more waves.
The crab facepalmed. Apparently, he'd need to use his old friend violence once more to get what he needs. He pulls out a lighter, opens it, and holds it upside down over the wooden planks beneath him. He then pointed at her eye patch, and pointed at his missing eye.
Groaning, Aiden went to rub his forehead, but swiftly pulled back as soon as he made uninterrupted contact. That wasn't pos— He pried his eyes open and took a look around. There were flowers everywhere and blissful sunlight poured over his face. Had he been dreaming...? Just a second ago he could have sworn... Two figures sat to each side of him. They were holding each one of his hands. He couldn't make out their face despite being right besides him, and while it was clear they were speaking he didn't hear a thing. They were all smiling—even Aiden himself—why did that seem surprising? For some reason his heart was racing and burning in his chest. He reeled over and began choking. Why did... it hurt? Why did.. it hurt... so much?
Syndir was lost to his thoughts, but tears began welling up in his eyes and seeping down the sockets of his mask.
Famen grunted as the boat was thrown ashore, being thrown into the side of the ship. He ran out and onto the island to examine the damages to the boat. Oh God, it was way worse than he'd imagined. He'd need more than just boards if he wanted to fix it this time. He'd need a full boat repair kit. Famen turned to examine the island for anything that might help him.
Angelle leaned on Syndir when she saw him crying. Why was mask man crying?
