Trevor does what any sensible person would do after telling somebody they were going to fish and started to fish.

While fishing, he asked Famen a question.

"Hey, when we get to land, are we going to try and repair this piece of driftwood, or are we going to build a new ship?"

Wiffleball was thankful for Kate's help. He placed the scrap of loose fabric on the ground, then carefully maneuvered his injured leg onto it. With everything easily accessible and in one place, he was able to stitch himself up in less than a minute. A new record! Well, sorta. It wasn't like he'd been keeping track, anyways. He returned the kit to its place, then gave Kate a grateful smile before glancing over at Syndir. Earlier, the masked fellow had accepted his coral gift, so maybe...? Wiffleball retrieved another chunk of coral from the nearby pile, then balanced it on Syndir's mask as an offering.

It's seems like the weather is too rough for Trevor to catch a fish. Oh well. The storm will pass soon, and besides. They have the sardines if things get too rough. Trevor stops fishing and sits down next to Kate.

"Soooo...uhh... How are you..?"

The dragon curled up and dug her claws into the deck, securing herself so she wouldn't be swept off the floaty thing in the storm. The way to inside the thing was now blocked by the sea monster's teeth, and even if it was she'd still be too big to fit in there. She would have to wait out the storm in the open.

The dragon tried to shield her injured leg as best she could from the stinging salty spray with one wing, and seeing that a couple humans peoples were trapped up here too, she lifted up her other wing so they could get under it. "GET. UNDER. WING. SHELTER." She roared over the storm, hoping that the green humanish fish would understand her.

Kate was about to reply to Trevor when she got blasted by a spray of seawater. There were still two boards missing from the side of the ship, leaving a hole that let in a lot of water when the waves crashed on the side of the boat. She started frantically looking for something to block the hole.

Viridis looked happier when she saw raindrops falling from the sky. She opened her mouth, trying to catch them. The stretchy rings had finished forming under her claws, and she held them up in the air. She also formed her hand into a bowl shape to try and catch some water, which was horribly inefficient since she was moving around all over the place.

It looked pretty funny.

Noctimus' cry, as well as the fact that there was now a fair amount of water pooled on the floor, alerted Wiffleball to the current crisis. He dropped the coral chunk he'd been holding, then ran towards the little shadow, scooping it up and tossing it onto one of the crates. Unfortunately, Wiffleball wasn't able to save himself, as a rather strong spray of salt water knocked him to the ground shortly afterwards. To make matters worse, the pooled water quickly started soaking into his fabric, weighing him down. It wasn't long before he couldn't lift his limbs - and soon after, even move at all.

The boxes were holding reality together

A few black cockroaches skitter out from the crate Trevor broke.  Other than that, it seems to be empty.  Weird.

---------------

As the storm continues to rage outside, the last bits of light fade as the sun sinks below the horizon, albeit hidden behind a blanket of grey clouds.  Meritursas tries to position his lure so it shines into both the cargo hold and the deck, but it doesn't work very well.

---------------

The beetles crawl into the crab's eye sockets and start burrowing through his insides.

Gilda grabs jaw's wrist and pulls him over to the big lizard. The two of them duck under the lizards wing and hold onto the loose boards. "I'm all for rain but this is  ridiculous!"

I think Wheke was above deck. Ima change that with octopus powers. X3}

Wheke saw some loose boards that lead to the hold. S/he squeezed through the gap and got stuck half way through, butt aimed sky high. "Oh bull-shark..."

The storm was quite rough. Viridis stopped trying to drink the rain, and tried harder to get her claws higher into the air. She looked around for anything to stand on. She didn't want to hinder Meritursas... maybe the dragon would want to help? She hopped her way over to dragon.  "Hello...! Would you mind... if I climbed onto you for... a vantage point?" Viridis kind of shouted since the rain was so loud.
