Wiffleball began calming down the moment the last shadow creature fell from the ship. That...had worked much better than expected, honestly. To be honest, though, he had no idea what to expect - today had been pretty weird. Half of what he'd done earlier, he had no idea how he'd pulled off. Either way, he was pretty exhausted. Ignoring Syndir entirely, he picked up the pirate hat and placed it on Kate's head, then joined the snuggles.

(I keep imagining Syndir trying to pull off that look in Zeklo's profile picture 'cause he thinks he's so slick but failing because he's, you know, wearing a mask.)

Kate's arm slowly moved around Wiffleball and she looked up, meeting Syndir's pale eyes with her own clouded grey ones.

He wasn't red anymore. He was holding his red. How had he taken his red off? Was it skin? Not skin?

The dragon lifted her head up, alerted not only by the sharx noise, but the startled noise of her favorite humans person. She looked in his direction to make sure he was oka- *OVERLY DRAWN OUT MENTAL GASP* PURPLE SHINY!!! The dragon limped right past the humans person to the loot filled cannon, where a purple gem was peeking out from the top. She happily picked it up and stuffed it in her pouch. Two shinys in one day! At this rate she'd have her own horde in no time!

Syndir was taken aback by her awakening—he still hadn't succeeded in apply the cloth to stop the bleeding, or sterilized it.

Heat up the obsidian on the mask.

While it's on your face...?

Just do it.

I'll need payment as always.

My third birthday was a fun one, will that do?

The response came in the form of sizzling pain on his face. He turned away from Kate's gaze and pressed the cloth piece up against the newly heated obsidian until the fabric was dry and warm. Then he gently grabbed her hand and wrapped it around firmly. Once he finished he darted away. He wouldn't be able to keep his composure for much longer and didn't want to look weak in front of her greatness.

Kate looked down at her hand as it was being wrapped in red. It felt warm, and like cloth. Cloth. Oh, he wore red cloth. That made more sense. Se continued to look at her hand after Syndir left.

The dragon's gaze followed her favorite humans person as he passed. He seemed upset, or in pain, or both. She decided this would be the proper time to try implementing a humans peoples' comforting gesture that she had learned; she believed it was called "hugging". Walking up to him, she sat down and put one arm around him, pulling him to her so that his face was in her chest, and then used her other arm to veeerrrryyyy geeennntlllyyyy pat the top of his head.

Hm, his face covering seemed kinda warm...

(The mask has some quirks to help with that, but he is still quite (bone) thin and malnourished (hence why he is pale))

Syndir had never been hugged by a dragon before. It made him feel... warm.

That would be the obsidian searing into your flesh, not the hug...

Angelle walked up to Kate, falling asleep at her side.

Famen was wondering how the things worked. The potato wouldn't budge for him to see what was inside. He pulled the crank sticking to the table, expecting something to happen.
